Is Democracy Dying or America Disintegrating?

What do we mean by the Revolution? The war? That was no part of the revolution; it was only an effect and consequence of it. The revolution was in the minds of the people.” What did John Adams mean when he wrote this to Thomas Jefferson in 1815, after both had served as president? Adams was saying that America, the country that took up arms and fought for its independence from the British, was already a nation — before 1775. America preexisted the Constitution, Adams is saying. America had been conceived and born before he and Jefferson began to write its Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia in 1776.

History shows that once a country reaches a certain level of success, it takes a turn to the left and starts to fall apart.

You could say that Soros, Zuckerberg, AOC, Obama, etc. all had a hand in this. It's still salvageable but we need the right people in office to do it.

It will take a spiritual revival to turn this state of affairs around. Either the Spirit of ‘76 or the Spirit of God, or both.

The problem with a free country is keeping it free. Those who desire power do anything to obtain it, and anything to retain it. They always seek out positions of authority, then attempt to make their appointments, permanent.

Roughly one fourth of the country has reverted to the law of the jungle and the other three fourths have been hamstrung by the laws made by decent people and are not permitted to shoot or hang them or withhold their food. This is not a sustainable situation.

I truly thought that September 11 would wake this country up. But it didn’t and people forgot about it and instead of standing up for America, they started coddling not just terrorists, but all Muslims. And then all criminals, as long as they are part of an approved minority. If 9/11 didn’t turn the country around, I have no confidence that anything else will. I’m glad that I’m old but I weep for my grandkids.

I believe in the people, if only they were being told the truth. Problem is instead the country/world is fed lies and propaganda by those paid by enemies of freedom like China, Soros, Democrat Party etc. The more this conspiracy is exposed the better off the world will be and if permitted (fair elections) the people will make the right choices.

First, Buchanan knows we never had a "Democracy". Second....yes, under the Dems, the country is disintegrating. I think we'd be better off following the division strategy that is part of the plot of Kurt Schlichter's dystopian novel series, such as "Indian Country". Sad to say that, but I really don't want to be in a position to have leftist lunatics from the looney tunes parts of The Left Coast and the NE coming to our states and wrecking them, too. A border that they couldn't cross would be a plus.

Imagine the Founding Fathers seeing into the future and observing the Biden Administration, from Demento, Doctor Dingbat and Harris at the top, down through, e.g., Susan Rice, Klain, Blinken and yes, Pete Buttigieg. "To Hell with it, let's stick with the Brits."

I watched Ghandi last night. A statement he made in regard to resistance "a day of prayer and fasting". That is what the population of India did, ALL of them. If our government even hints it will be shut down for a day it causes chaos in DC. Imagine if the majority of the population took an entire day off, shutting everything down for a day.

Americans want an autonomous Ukraine to survive. They hope the West can stop Russian President Vladimir Putin’s strangulation of both Ukraine and NATO. Yet Americans do not want their troops to venture across the world to Europe’s backyard to fight nuclear Russia to ensure that Ukraine stays independent. Most Americans oppose the notion that Russia can simply dictate the future of Ukraine. Yet Americans also grudgingly accept that Ukraine was often historically part of Russia. During World War II, it was the bloody scene of joint Russian-Ukrainian sacrifices—more than 5 million killed—to defeat the Nazi German invasion.

Standing in front of livestock at the 2016 Iowa State Fair, presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton chortled, “I’m back!” But she was dead serious. Now, despite Joe Biden’s unlikely intentions to run for a second term, Hillary is back again – as if ambition would ever let her leave. Five years younger than Biden, Hillary has no intention of being an old soldier who just fades away. Ever since her college years at Wellesley, she has harbored political ambitions. And when her husband landed in the White House, her dream of becoming the first female president of the United States took serious hold.

It’s long been axiomatic in the legal profession that tough facts make bad law. Yesterday’s forked decisions from the Supreme Court in two vaccine mandate cases now add a corollary to that principle: Quick cases make milquetoast opinions. The Supreme Court heard the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Medicare/Medicaid mandate cases in tandem on an expedited basis last Friday. Although court observers expected lightning-fast decisions, the opinions in National Federation of Independent Business v. Department of Labor and Biden v. Missouri didn’t drop until Jan. 13.

The CDC COVID-19 record card you get with your vaccine is too large to fit in your wallet, yet small enough to be easily misplaced. The measure has been met with criticism from lawmakers, who argue that the software is intrusive and inaccurate.
