NCAA changes transgender athlete participation
policy amid calls for reevaluation

The Board of Governors voted to pass the new policy as it "preserves opportunity for transgender student-athletes while balancing fairness, inclusion and safety for all who compete," according to the report. "It is important that NCAA member schools, conferences and college athletes compete in an inclusive, fair, safe and respectful environment and can move forward with a clear understanding of the new policy," DeGioia added. Each particular sport’s national governing body will be responsible for determining transgender athlete participation. If a sport does not have a national governing body, the international federation policy will be enacted, Sports Illustrated reported.

Comments:

In other words, the NCAA has decided to punt. What a surprise. So much for standing up for the female athletes.

Create a new category where the transfolk can compete amongst themselves. Seems only fair. That way biological men and women can compete fairly against their own kind.

Simple. Let the Athletes decide, "Do they want a transgender male participating in a Woman's Sport or event." Majority wins.

The NCAA Board of Governors refuses to accept the biological fact that gender is assigned at birth to one of two options: Male or Female based on visual observation of outie or innie. Such assignment at birth cannot be changed regardless of mental state or cosmetic surgery. I remain amazed that people who are supposed to be somewhat intelligent refuse to accept this biological fact. But, this NCAA Governing Body has applied woke directives at member schools such as North Dakota--forcing them to change the name of their mascot from Fighting Sioux (offensive to Native Americans). But, they obviously did not have the same feeling about forcing Florida State to change the name of their mascot from Seminoles (obviously not offensive to Native Americans). This bunch needs to focus on policies related and limited to fair competition of college athletics and stay out of applying woke social justice mandates.

It's still OK, #10. One or two crazies show up, race against a clock, and they can make little trophies and put them in a nice display case in the mental institution. Maybe don't let them know that the doors open inward freely and are locked on the inside of the institution.

Using the phrase "assigned a sex at birth" just plays into their game. No one is "assigned" anything at birth, but are rather "observed to be" either male or female at birth, or before.

The NCAA powers that be deserve to be replaced by sane individuals in every stratum of the organization. If possible, clean out all "wokesters." Enough of this crap already. Soon we will see untouchable women's world records set by "women" who are 100% male, even if they OD on estrogen and surgically mutilate themselves. Well under 1% of the population are confused about their sex, and so a third (MTF), and a possible fourth (FTM) division of athletes would suffer from a dearth of competitors. Good. It should be. Freak show s should not be encouraged. Women's sports are definitely threatened by mental illness and/or a sick desire by weak men to cheat and beat people who genetically aren't as strong as they are.

Bruce/Kaitlyn Jenner commented on this today. She noted that while you have the right to participate in the sport, you also have the responsibility to make sure that you are participating on an even playing field. This is not the case at this time and it is doing damage to the trans community. I agree with Jenner.

We really should avoid using the Left's terms, which are selected to be pejorative against sanity. "Assigned at birth" sounds like a random, possibly unfair event. We really should NOT use "assigned". I suggest, "identified at birth" or "recorded at birth". No person "assigned" anything. A qualified observer identified male or female genitalia on the infant, and recorded that external, pre-existing FACT. Nothing was "assigned", just identified and recorded. Don't let the Leftist's twisted, intentionally fraudulent language be our language. We need to use correct terms which project the correct reality, not their pejorative, twisted terms.

We all knew this day was coming, even as an onslaught of “fact-checkers” assured us it was “misinformation” to assert such a change was coming publicly. But first, let’s talk about the details. CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.
