Los Angeles police have identified the suspect wanted in the fatal stabbing of UCLA grad student Brianna Kupfer, who was brutally slain at her job in a luxury furniture store. Shawn Laval Smith, 31, was named by LAPD on Tuesday night as the suspect captured on video in chilling footage as he calmly purchased a vape pen 30 minutes after the cold-blooded murder. 'He should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen do not approach, call 911,' police said in a statement. Los Angles County Sheriff's Department records list Smith as currently free on a $1,000 bail from a misdemeanor arrest in October 2020.

Comments:

In the benighted days of yore, what would have happened to the public employees responsible for this guy being loose on the streets? Today we shrug our shoulders and say this sort of thing can happen anywhere, and indeed it can because USA is all but ruined by Marxists who demand this sort of thing.

Are we going to have to start executing violent felons who 'walk' AND the prosecutors who fail to do their job? AS they walk from court? Because otherwise we cannot stop these crimes in time.

It’s very possible that a thousand dollar bail actually means that he had to put up ten percent or one hundred dollars to be released from custody and position himself to murder an innocent person. Increasingly, murderous perpetrators like this one are making the African-American population in the USA look completely criminal and degenerate around the world. Even in Communist China, African-Americans are being commonly portrayed by the Communist controlled media as being the sole perpetrators of the assaults and murders of Asian people in the USA.

Another precious life snuffed out on the altar of radical democrat policies for no other reason than to make some faceless bureaucrat feel all sanctimonious by putting a spit shine on their virtue signaling badge. I despise these people who in In their zeal to protect the criminal, are sentencing the innocent to unknown danger that many times lead to a horrific death. This young woman’s death was a by-product of the insanity of the democrat party. She did not deserve to die at the hands of a career criminal simply because the government failed in their responsibility to protect its citizens. The democrat party is a threat to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That uncaring, cold, ruthless party will continue to sacrifice Americans because they simply do not care that their policies are enabling career criminals to run free and murder innocents. California is circling the drain. What was once a jewel in the crown of beautiful and productive states has become a hellhole of crime, misery and chaos and the reason is evident. Democrat policies will destroy even the best we have to offer. I cannot imagine any thinking person ever voting for a democrat when evidence pours in everyday that they truly are the party of death and destruction with a leadership that is mired in corruption and criminality because it is the way they roll. The so called most enlightened are truly monsters. It was heart breaking watching this shell-shocked father try and come to grips with the horrific death of his daughter, all because democrats have embraced a Luciferian philosophy that wants to redefine the laws of human nature because it makes them feel superior. I have nothing in common with these freaks. There is no common ground with their unreasonable failed policies. They must defeated, crushed and never be permitted to have any power to make decisions on behalf of the American people. They are deadly, toxic and unworthy to hold any elected office. We are witnessing the greatest public fail of a political party in the history of this country. Each day they prove they are lawless power hungry incompetents whose policies are a danger to every American drawing breath. This precious young lady is just another human being they are willing to sacrifice because they cannot come to grips with the failure of their soft on crime philosophy. What in the world is it going to take to rouse Californians to action? How many more innocents will die because of the policies of the democrat party?

Re #11: Years ago Chris Rock had an interesting reaction to some state's agonizing over the source of electricity to power up the state's electric chair for a well deserved execution. The power provider for the area didn't really want to use its righteous juice for this unrighteous purpose. But Chris was thinking. He said, "We don't need any 'lectric chair. All we need is a stabbin' chair, 'cos it don't cost a damn thing to stab somebody."

Why was she there alone in that furniture store? If the store is a “high end” operation as the media is reporting they surely could have afforded to install and operate a “high end” security and video system to protect their lone employee?
