Lindsey Graham Will Not Support McConnell

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) cast doubt on the possibility of supporting Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for Republican Senate Leader again. In an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, Graham declared that any future Republican congressional leader must “have a working relationship with President Donald Trump.” “He’s the most consequential Republican since Ronald Reagan. It’s his nomination if he wants it, and I think he’ll get reelected in 2024,” Graham said of former President Donald Trump. (Tweet)

Why do these idiots throw this garbage out there? There is no benefit to attacking either one of them or pitting them against each other. Focus should be on winning House and Senate seats in the mid-terms. If GOP wins a majority in the senate, THEN you can be concerned with who will be the Majority Leader.

The Graham quote has to be one of the more stupid game show-level political statements ever made by a senator. Trump is not a sitting president, so Graham must be crassly signaling to Trump-only supporters that perhaps it is his turn to be majority leader because he'll love Trump long-time (kiss, kiss), seemingly assured Trump will be elected again in 2024. Remember, Hilary was a shoo-in right up until she lost to Trump. Unless stupid republicans screw it up, the Senate should need a new majority leader after this year's elections On this site and among many conservatives elsewhere, Graham is one of the most reviled republican senators, perhaps second only to Romney. This undefined, therefore subjective, litmus-test pledge is likely counter to the separation of powers doctrine established in our Constitution and is not at all helpful for the critical votes required to recapture Congress later this year from the rabid Bolsheviks occupying the capitol. By making this statement now, Graham is virtue signaling like a Blue city, mask-wielding "Karen" and counting on being carried to greater political prominence by Trump-centric republican voters, with Trump's endorsement, of course.

Pennsylvania's Republican-led state senate has plans to put forth a bill that would divert flights carrying migrants across the U.S. to President Biden's home state of Delaware. The bill would implement a 'transportation program' to address the 'unauthorized relocation' of undocumented migrants to Pennsylvania. President Biden threatened to hold up $170 million in coronavirus relief funds for Arizona in a showdown with the state over masks in schools. The Copper State announced earlier it would use the cash in a way that discouraged mask wearing in schools. Arizona was awarded $4.2 billion of the $350 billion program for states under the American Rescue Plan which allocated money to cities, states and counties and allowed them to spend the cash mostly as they saw fit, with few restrictions. In a letter from the Treasury Department, Arizona's GOP Gov. Doug Ducey was told his state has 60 days to redirect the funding towards its intended purpose,

President Joe Biden was not making a 'human' comparison between opponents of his voter rights push with racists and segregationists in a speech this week, said the White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Friday. The clean-up came after critics accused Biden of divisive rhetoric, and the president has since seen his initiative collapse as two hold-out Democratic senators said they could not support his plan to change Senate rules in order to pass the legislation.
