I remember the call from my husband on May 31. It was our anniversary, and he was out running errands before he came home—not because we had plans, but because there was a curfew in place in Minneapolis. He called to tell me he had to drive to a nearby suburb to pick up a medical prescription. "Our Walgreens on Hennepin Avenue isn't there anymore," he said. "It was burned to the ground." Over the spring and summer of 2020, thousands of businesses were looted, damaged, or totally destroyed during the George Floyd protests—especially here, where Floyd was killed. Every day we read heartbreaking stories of business owners begging

Excellent opinion piece. I am surprised it is published in Newsweek. But, it is just what Americans think. No one cares about January 6, except the leftists who are afraid of flag-carrying protesters. I am sick of them.

Global Marxist Communist's all Lucifer's demonic servants working to destroy America and the world from within to help Satan in his effort to destroy 'I AM' God our Father creator, and rule the world of evil. Video; Biden tells how democrats stole the 2020 election and twice for Obama. The Marxist Communist democrats, rino's, etc., are the real danger to America from within. Biden himself with a slip of his tongue, for once told the truth of the Marxist Communist democrats and they are all guilty of treason. October 2020, before the election; speaking to former Barack Obama staffers on Pod Save America, host Dan Pfeiffer asked Biden what his message was to people who have not yet voted. https://youtu.be/C6u1uKznCYw Biden's confession starts at time 17:40 on video interview. Joe Biden: "Well, first of all, you know, uh, what really rankles, uh, my opponent is I say that, uh, the thing that bothers him most is he’s not a patch on Barack’s jeans." "Secondly, we’re in a situation where we have put together — and you’d [sic] guys, did it for our, the president Obama’s administration, before this — we have put together, I think, the most extensive and and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics." Biden does not correct himself after saying “voter fraud organization,” nor did the hosts attempt to correct or clarify his statement.

IMO the most disgusting part of Jan6 was the whining and crying on the part of the Capitol police. An average LEO has the possibility of facing those dangers while just performing routine traffic stops and domestic violence calls daily for an entire career. They are required to confront actual violent homicidal criminals Interrogatory: were the Capitol police paid while the National Guard was defending the Capitol for months? Rhetorical question.

Finally a MSM outlet mentions the months of terror the residents of the cities the were under siege during "the summer of love." What must it have been like for ordinary people who were caught up in that? I think a person could claim PTSD legitimately after being inside their business as a firebomb came through the windows, or of being robbed of their entire inventory. Lives lost, jobs gone, income gone. Then to be told by the city to clear the debris or face huge fines. The Democrats have never expressed any concern for those people who were harmed most during these "mostly peaceful" riots that I have heard. Aren't many of these people the ones they claim to "fight for?" As always they move on leaving suffering citizens in their wake, resting assured that they will still have their vote.

My question this was the one year anniversary of 1-6 is the left going to memorialize this from now on or is it over? Will it be an annual mourning like the made-up fake holiday Kwanzaa and Juneteenth? January 6 is being milked to disqualify Trump criminally from running so I see the left harping on this date at least until 2024. Let's go democrats

Of course. January 6th was perpetrated by dirty white domestic terrorists but the burning of cities was done by the Golden Children who were only looking for a better life by stealing what they were too lazy to work for. The Antifa goons and the BLM goons reminded us all how children turn out if they have no morals, no responsibility and no ambition. They found religion for a short time in the worship of George Floyd but his time on the altar was short-lived. Some good came out of the billions of dollars in destruction and the murders and injury of many of those hated police, Patrisse Cullers now has several nice houses to entertain the rest of the BLM royalty. Democrats should be proud of what they have done for this lovely woman. One day BLM dupes will begin to question where all of those donations from our woke corporations went. I hope they get some money to help support the mulatto children of all of those fat white girls who worked as human shields for them.

Republicans in the Pennsylvania State Senate plan to draft a bill that would relocate migrants entering the state on Biden administration-sponsored flights to the president's home state of Delaware. State Sen. Mario Scavello, a Republican from Mount Pocono, issued a memo to colleagues asking them to support the forthcoming bill. "In the very near future, I intend to introduce legislation to address the influx of illegal immigrants being relocated into Pennsylvania," Scavello wrote, adding that his legislation will be fashioned after similar intentions voiced by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The legislation would implement a transportation program for the relocation of migrants from the commonwealth to the neighboring state

In a Thursday piece headlined, "Biden claims yet another arrest for which there’s little evidence," Glenn Kessler, The Post's resident fact-checker, wrote that Biden was "not always a reliable source" when it came to his "exaggerated" stories, and that too many elements of his claim didn't add up.

The top Senate Republican said Biden "called millions of Americans his domestic enemies" in the speech and "shouted that if you disagree with him, you’re George Wallace."

Sharpton, a liberal activist in addition to his weekend hosting duties on MSNBC, was on hand for Biden's Atlanta address, where the president framed the debate over Democratic election overhauls in stark terms: Either you were with reviled figures like segregationist Gov. George Wallace and Confederate President Jefferson Davis, or on the side of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr., and the late John Lewis, whom one of the proposed Democratic voting bills is named after.

As the country continues to battle a surge of COVID-19 cases, many authorities are turning to new antiviral treatments, which can aid people diagnosed with the virus who are at high risk of falling seriously ill. The problem is, there’s a shortage of these medicines, forcing governments to ration them. Authorities are understandably trying to direct their limited supply of these life-saving treatments to those who need them most. But in New York, those authorities have decided that the color of one’s skin is one way to define that need.

The one-year anniversary of the January 6 riots unfolded in a manner as dramatic as it was predictable. The Pearl Harbor and 9/11 comparisons were uttered before noon — not by some media hack on MSNBC, but by our own vice president. Democrats, led by Speaker Pelosi, stood on the steps of the Capitol adorned with face masks and holding fake candles to hold a prayer vigil. At one particularly bizarre point during the day’s ceremonies, Pelosi introduced playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, who in turn introduced cast members from his hit musical Hamilton to sing a virtual rendition of “Dear Theodosia.”
