Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., said Wednesday he was "offended" by President Biden's divisive voting rights speech, telling Fox News the country has "fought too hard, too long for the progress that he’s denying." "It's offensive to me as a Southerner, but more importantly, it’s offensive to me as an American," Scott told "The Story" host Martha MacCallum. Biden warned of a stark dichotomy between the proponents and opponents of the Democrats' election law overhaul bill dubbed the "John Lewis Voting Rights Act," asking a crowd in Atlanta on Tuesday whether they were on the side of reviled figures like segregationist Gov. Ironic, since George Wallace and Jefferson Davis were both Democrats, and King was, at least for a while, a Republican...

I find the Republican Party that allowed the steal in 2020 "offensive". In fact the Republican Party disgust me, they created the Frankenstein monster ( just to screw over President Trump and all his supporters) and now they cry about the damage the monster has caused. Pathetic. Pathetic to the power of infinity.

Democratic Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel suggested Saturday that "White supremacy" could be to blame for the attack on a Texas synagogue by a British national seeking the release of a convicted terrorist dubbed "Lady Al-Qaeda." In a video clip first reported by the Washington Free Beacon, Nessel told MSNBC's Yasmin Vossoughian that a rise in hate crimes and formation of White supremacist extremist organizations across the country would make the realization they perpetrated such an event hardly a surprise. According to the Free Beacon, it had been reported already that the suspect was demanding the release of Aafia Siddiqui, the Pakistani woman convicted in New York

Republicans in the Pennsylvania State Senate plan to draft a bill that would relocate migrants entering the state on Biden administration-sponsored flights to the president's home state of Delaware. State Sen. Mario Scavello, a Republican from Mount Pocono, issued a memo to colleagues asking them to support the forthcoming bill. "In the very near future, I intend to introduce legislation to address the influx of illegal immigrants being relocated into Pennsylvania," Scavello wrote, adding that his legislation will be fashioned after similar intentions voiced by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The legislation would implement a transportation program for the relocation of migrants from the commonwealth to the neighboring state

The Washington Post awarded President Biden its harshest fact-check rating of "Four Pinocchios" over his false claim this week that he was "arrested" for the first time as a teenager while attending a civil rights protest in Delaware. In a Thursday piece headlined, "Biden claims yet another arrest for which there’s little evidence," Glenn Kessler, The Post's resident fact-checker, wrote that Biden was "not always a reliable source" when it came to his "exaggerated" stories, and that too many elements of his claim didn't add up.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., fired back at President Biden after the latter’s flawed election overhaul speech in Georgia on Tuesday, with the GOP leader saying the speech "undermines democracy." McConnell torched the president from the Senate floor on Wednesday, tearing into Biden over his widely panned speech, calling it a "deliberately divisive" and one that was "designed to pull our country further apart." The top Senate Republican said Biden "called millions of Americans his domestic enemies" in the speech and "shouted that if you disagree with him, you’re George Wallace."

MSNBC's Al Sharpton said President Biden's emotionally charged address Tuesday didn't seem like one intended to win support for sweeping Democratic election legislation, calling it a "you're going to hell" speech. Sharpton, a liberal activist in addition to his weekend hosting duties on MSNBC, was on hand for Biden's Atlanta address, where the president framed the debate over Democratic election overhauls in stark terms: Either you were with reviled figures like segregationist Gov. George Wallace and Confederate President Jefferson Davis, or on the side of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr., and the late John Lewis, whom one of the proposed Democratic voting bills is named after.

Despite speculation to the contrary, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is reportedly running for reelection in her San Francisco-based congressional district. But she is expected to honor a term-limit deal she made with a group of House Democrats ready to oust her in 2019, returning in a much-diminished role. Party leader since 2003 and speaker from 2007 through 2011 and again since 2019, Pelosi has accrued a legacy that Democrats have good reason to regret.

As the country continues to battle a surge of COVID-19 cases, many authorities are turning to new antiviral treatments, which can aid people diagnosed with the virus who are at high risk of falling seriously ill. The problem is, there’s a shortage of these medicines, forcing governments to ration them. Authorities are understandably trying to direct their limited supply of these life-saving treatments to those who need them most. But in New York, those authorities have decided that the color of one’s skin is one way to define that need.

The one-year anniversary of the January 6 riots unfolded in a manner as dramatic as it was predictable. The Pearl Harbor and 9/11 comparisons were uttered before noon — not by some media hack on MSNBC, but by our own vice president. Democrats, led by Speaker Pelosi, stood on the steps of the Capitol adorned with face masks and holding fake candles to hold a prayer vigil. At one particularly bizarre point during the day’s ceremonies, Pelosi introduced playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, who in turn introduced cast members from his hit musical Hamilton to sing a virtual rendition of “Dear Theodosia.”

Wisconsin Republican Sen. "During the 2016 campaign, I said it would be my last campaign and final term," Johnson wrote. "That was my strong preference, and my wife’s – we both looked forward to a normal private life. All 14 black Mississippi state senators, all Democrats, walked out before a vote on a bill that forbids teaching students at public schools and colleges that 'that any sex, race, ethnicity, religion or national origin is inherently superior or inferior.' The bill later passed passed 32-2, with only two Democratic legislators—David Blount and Hob Bryan, both white—voting against it. It now heads to the Mississippi state House for approval. The CDC has officially moved the goalposts on what it means to be vaccinated from COVID-19. We all knew this day was coming, even as an onslaught of “fact-checkers” assured us it was “misinformation” to assert such a change was coming publicly. But first, let’s talk about the details. CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.

The mob is coming for Kyrsten Sinema in her home state of Arizona. While they may not be literally showing up with pitchforks, torches, and nooses, the rhetorical impact is about the same. As Allahpundit pointed out yesterday, other Democrats are already being pressured to primary her even though she’s not up for reelection for nearly three more years. But that’s not enough to satisfy the progressives who remain outraged that she wouldn’t agree to torpedo the filibuster to ram through her party’s voting bills. Today, state party leaders will host a vote of either “disapproval” or censure, depending on the mood of the members.

Researchers examined COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations from May through November 2021 in California and New York. The research team examined case and hospitalization rates among four cohorts of people: the unvaccinated and previously uninfected, the vaccinated and previously infected,

Scientists are still debating whether we should try to “flatten” the COVID curve. The curve is a plot of deaths on the vertical axis versus time on the horizontal axis. The graph above is an example, showing daily deaths worldwide from COVID since the advent of the pandemic. If you add up the daily deaths, you of course wind up with the total deaths – currently over 800,000 in the U.S. This is the “area under the curve.” (Calculus, anyone?) “Flattening the curve” means lowering the peaks – lowering the daily deaths. Scientists on one side of the “flattening” debate – call them the Flatteners – say that we can accomplish that

I have never been angry that I left limbs on the battlefield in order to defend our freedom and our way of life.
