Princeton University in New Jersey will forbid students from leaving the school’s host county once the new semester starts due to rising COVID-19 concerns. Barring “extraordinary circumstances,” students can’t venture beyond Mercer County and Plainsboro Township beginning on Jan. 8 through at least Feb. 15. The restriction does not apply to sports teams. Citing a surge in COVID-19 cases, the school delayed the return of students to the Ivy League school by a week.

On what authority do they think they can lockdown the movement of students to leave? This is beyond ridiculous. Telling someone they cannot enter the premises is one thing, but you are going to bar my exit? That's false imprisonment, and restraint against one's will.

Apparently Princeton is no longer in the United States. SOMEONE in that cesspool of a "University" has to be familiar with basic protection of our rights. Does Princeton accept U.S. government grants and other funding? On that basis, let the lawsuits begin and the nitwit(s) who dreamt this up be fired. If the president of the cesspool is accountable at all, he (she, or is it "they?) should do the honorable thing and resign. How embarrassing.

Let’s see how many students in Princeton are willing to stand up for their rights. They represent part of the future of this country. Their actions will show the direction this country will take. I suspect they will continue to cower and submit.

Rt. 1 to the east includes East & West Windsor-on the NE corridor line that area is known as the “Curry Corridor”. They ain’t going east anyway. West is Princeton Township and Hopewell Township. The students live there, and there’s not much to do in it anyway. Not west. North is New Brunswick, home of Rutgers and murders murders murders and diversity and crime and crappy football. Nope, north is out. South? The city of Trenton. There’s not a Princeton student who’s EVER gone there, including in any social work classes or organizations. Princeton people, and students are the height of hypocrisy. So, South is out. These pampered snots wouldn’t leave the cozy confines of their indoctrination center anyway. A pox on all their houses.

This year marked the 25th anniversary of my arrival in the United States, and as the cliché goes, it feels like yesterday. Memories of war and life in a refugee camp penetrate my consciousness daily. At least, if you ask CNN's "national security analyst" Juliette Kayyem, a former Obama DHS assistant secretary. Appearing on Thursday morning's New Day, Kayyem said that when a year ago in an Atlantic article she depicted Trump as "the leader of a terror movement," she was, as she recently tweeted, actually being "too kind" to him! (Video) Perhaps realizing just how outrageous was Kayyem's accusation, substitute host John Avlon tried to soft-pedal it. He framed it as his Kayyem calling Trump head of an "extremist" movement, not a "terror" one.
