Jeff Zucker Failed To Address Serial Sexual

In a move more typically associated with shady politicians than a news network supposedly committed to transparency, CNN had a whopper of a news dump on Saturday night, announcing it was firing primetime news anchor Chris Cuomo. This followed a weeklong suspension after government documents proved his involvement in covering up the sexual misconduct of his brother, disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was much more extensive than previously known. The emails and text exchanges released by the New York attorney general’s office showed Chris Cuomo (snip) used his relationships in the media at outlets like MSNBC and Politico(snip) to help him do it.

They open themselves up for civil lawsuits by not acting. As part of a public company (AT&T) I'm sure they had to take sexual harassment training courses as part of their employment.

Zucker's reputation precedes him during his tenure at NBC. After rapidly rising through the ranks a Today Show producer at the tender age of 26, Zucker instigated one of the worst debacles in TV history: the scheduling change in late 2009 to bump Conan O'Brien so Leno could take his old time slot at 11:30 (and eventually releasing O'Brien from his contract at the Tonight Show). The fallout from that move is felt to this day in the biz. NBC was being acquired by Comcast at the time and but the move placed the merger in jeopardy as NBC stocks plummeted from the fiasco. Zucker was fired upstairs to NBC Universal but was eventually let go to use his Midas touch at CNN.

It always appeared to me at least, that Zucker was doing his best to ruin the brand of CNN. His policies have been pretty much a disaster for that network. Almost like he was driving the brand into the ground on purpose. Now there is a new owner in town, and he should be quivering in terror under his desk. He has needed to be fired for at least the past 5 years. He is way past his sell by date.

Sure Jeff knew. Now people want him fired from cnn? After all his hard and continuing work at rendering cnn an unwatchable laughingstock? Be careful what you wish for. I wish that he is pursued by the likes of Nick Sandman and Kyle Rittenhouse from now until his check-in at the gates of a personal hell of his own making.

This has become a contest of who at CNN is the sleaziest, and who can sink lower. If those at CNN had any sense, they would clean house from top to bottom including all on-air 'talent', and start completely over. They cannot fix that sewer any other way.

People who receive the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine are at elevated risk of getting a severe autoimmune disorder that can cause paralysis, according to a new study. Researchers used data from the Vaccine Safety Datalink, which is run by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They found (pdf) 21 potential cases, 11 of which were confirmed, of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) in people who got the shot. Most happened with 13 days of vaccination. The incidence rate of confirmed cases per 100,000 person-years was 34.6 during the 1 to 21 days after administration, much higher than the historical background rate of 2 per 100,000 person-years.

As the 2022 midterms draw nearer, several Democrats are distancing themselves from President Joe Biden, whose popularity has dwindled since taking office. At the beginning of Biden’s presidency, congressional Democrats marched largely in lockstep with the president. But as his first year in office approaches its end, that situation has changed drastically. Still reeling from the public opinion hit incurred by the Afghanistan withdrawal, and faced with ongoing supply chain, inflation, and energy crises, Biden has become far less popular with voters—a fact that has not gone unnoticed by congressional Democrats, who have started to break with Biden more and more frequently.

Yes, Joe Biden is far and away the worst president in the history of the United States. However, the four-year Trump interlude between Obama and Biden gave the U.S. at least a little resiliency to stand against Biden’s hard-left administration.
