Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) denounced President Joe Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm after she said on Sunday that she hopes gas prices do not increase to $4 per gallon. “There’s no reason to “hope” gas prices won’t reach $4 (which it already has in parts of U.S.). Gas prices would go down if Biden stopped hindering the energy sector in America. There’s no reason to beg OPEC for more oil. Texas can produce it & make America energy independent,” the Republican governor said in a tweet.(Tweet) Abbott’s response comes after Granholm told CNN’s Dana Bash that she hopes gas prices will not continue to rise,

Reminds me of when the Energy Secretary of that great statesman Jimmy Carter promised that they would NEVER let the price of gasoline hit $1.00 a gallon. Never, EVER, trust the words that come out of the mouths of Commucrats or their RINO shills!

After seeing her laugh at the increase in gas prices, I have no words. But I will never ever vote for a democrat on any level ever again.

They don't care about the price of gas and what it is doing to families' budgets. They are more concerned about keeping the left wing idiots happy.

I see it's time to add jennie to our FJB mantra. So here you go girlfriend. FJG I lived through the carter years. Thought the man was inept. This Let's Go Brandon asshat clown car of an administration is doing it on purpose. Big difference. I have no doubt that there will be a time in our future when we can pull back from fossil fuels. But that time is not now and anyone who has the sense of a third grader can see it too.

Premium here in the FL Panhandle jumped 10 cents in last week to $3.78 a gallon. $4/gal is just around the corner. I suspect the government will mandate a speed limit of 55 MPH very soon....it worked so well the last time.

Fuel prices are also affected by state gasoline taxes. Here in Pennsylvania it's a minimum of 3.59 gal with higher octanes just under the $4 limit. Thanks Wolfie. This is not a high income state like California but we are taxed like it is.
In my community, the large family of an Indian doctor are packing themselves into a Tesla that is no bigger than a Honda Civic. Probably voted for Brandon too.

Why does any giant corporation obey these clowns? We should keep pumping oil and force armed feds to shut it down. The federal agents would openly be working against the American people.

Chicago passed the $4 mark weeks ago, suburbs are inching closer to $4 a gallon. And according to GasBuddy, a few stations in the city are charging $5+ for premium. A real laughing matter to Biden administration, they're giddy knowing their globalist "green" plan is working.

Thank heavens, I am retired and can walk to the grocery store. I have now become the little old lady dragging her collapsible wire grocery cart behind her. Let's go Brandon!

Some states seem like they should be able to say go off the grid. They ought to be able to be self sufficient for fuel. However what incentive would a company have to sell to a lower bidder when there is more profit under the global market.

When my employees used to say that they "hoped" something would go this way or that, I would always reply "Hope is not a plan."
I think I need to start making some bumper stickers with that statement on them and start plastering them on vehicles around the White House.

All their burble about "hope" reminds me of what my Army drill instructor, many moons ago, used to say about that subject. My guess is that most L-Dotters know what I'm referring to.
