A Canadian is thought to be the first person in the world diagnosed with a condition caused by climate change. Dr Kyle Merritt examined the senior citizen who suffered from asthma and faced breathing difficulties when they arrived at the emergency department in Nelson, British Colombia. Health workers said poor air quality and heatwaves were responsible for the patient’s symptoms, prompting Dr Merritt to make his first climate change clinical diagnosis. “It’s me trying to process what I’m seeing,” he told Glacier Media. “If we’re not looking at the underlying cause, and we’re just treating the symptoms, we’re just gonna

So, if he recovers, does that mean that climate change has abated? This patient had better watch that their doctors don't kill them to make the case for climate change getting worse.

Nelson, BC is in the boonies with lakes, forests and mountains. A real doctor would have told the patient to spend more time outdoors. After all, it worked for the polar bears.

So many questions. Was patient a smoker? Did he have pulmonary function test? Emphysema? COPD? There’s a ton of possible causes for these symptoms. This is such a load of crud I can’t believe it. Maybe doc just wants his name in a medical journal.

Climate change will kill 250,000 people per year between 2030 and 2050, according to the World Health Organization.
It that people who will die FROM climate change or WITH climate change?
'The previous record was 45.0 C set on July 5, 1937 at Yellow Grass, and Midale, SK.' 1937? Before AGW, I think. Thanks Google.

The diagnosis is too vague. What climate change? Going from summer to winter? The patient breathed in too many falling leaves from the trees? Perhaps the patient has snow goose fever and needs an extended stay in sunny Florida.

The poor darling. It must be very traumatic for this person when winter comes and the shock of spring must be unendurable. Maybe they should take themselves out because the sun will keep shining and the earth will rotate around it as it tilts every four months.

By Occam's Razor, the actual condition is called "existence syndrome" -- a consequence of being alive. The sufferer should sue his parents for causing him to exist.

I’d bet that this patient lives in a filthy house with about a dozen cats and no air conditioning. I love cats and have had many over the years but you do need too clean the litter box several times a week.

poor air quality is called pollution.
Much of Canada. and large portions of the United States were covered in massive amounts of ice not too long ago, so i guess the climate has been changing for nearly 10,000 years now.

This Merritt person, calling himself a doctor, is a quack. He probably has an electric gizmo in the garage that is a sure-cure for global warming sickness. Maybe he sells miracle global warming oil from his car boot. Is he telling people to stock up on comet pills? Never know when one might appear.

If doctors make money by blaming climate change for illnesses, they will do it. Expect this to happen alot more now.
If your doctor blames climate change for your ailment, find a new doctor. They clearly aren't looking out for you.

So now they're trying to blame health conditions that have been around since basically time began on climate change? This recalls the blaming of certain women of Salem in the 1600's for almost every ill under the sun, which the legal system went along with and had these women condemned. Before long, there may be masses of people who are unhealthy due to their own fault taking out lawsuits - with the support of the medical profession - against industries for contributing to "climate change".

The dinosaurs died of poor air quality and from heatwaves too. That was a thousand years ago and the air quality has improved a thousand times since and getting better every time a democrat kicks the bucket. Btw, the Dr. is an idiot!

FWIW, Nelson BC Canada was the landing spot for thousands of demorats who were too gutless to get drafted for VN and the place still reeks of that stench. And, Canada, sadly already had a thriving defeatist commie infrastructure and surely didn't need anymore cowardly lyin's lining up for welfare and growing 'stuff' in their backyard.
