Bank of America is warning that gas prices could go significantly higher than they currently are as Americans are currently paying approximately $3.41 per gallon across the U.S. for regular and just over $4 per gallon for premium.
“Bank of America is now predicting that Brent crude oil, which drives gas prices, will zoom to $120 a barrel by June 2022,” CNN reported. “That’s 45% higher than current levels.”
Francisco Blanch, Bank of America’s head of global commodities, spoke with CNN about the prediction, noting that back in June he predicted that the price of crude oil would shoot to $100 a barrel.
All fuel prices, not just gasoline.
I just got the 3rd high price warning in 4 days in Illinois from Ameren on my smart power pricing for tomorrow. In November. In more than 10 years of being on smart power pricing, I have never even seen a warning except on the very hottest or coldest days. Tomorrow is supposed to be around 50 degrees. Had four last month, too.

BoA is not someone that I like or trust. I recently closed my last remaining account with these pukes, which was a hold over from years ago, used only for PayPal. They finally angered me enough to create another account in another bank and switch my PayPal to that.
I wouldn't doubt what they say, but they could be totally full of beans, too. Rotten company.

Trickle down economics can be good or bad. Gas prices are at the tip of the spear for inflation.

BOA disclosed the customer data of hundreds of innocent cardholders to the FBI in connection with Jan. 6. This means BOA can never be trusted. Is there a non-woke bank?

In Ireland in the first decade of the 2000s, gas (“petrol”) was $7 a gallon. And I remember it was very expensive in Norway in the first decade of the 1970s — and Norway was swimming in wealth because of the North Sea oil boom.

Sky high gas prices is just one more step on the road to forcing people into electric vehicles. if it causes collateral suffering along the so be it. it's all going according to plan.

I wish the Bank of America would stop having Fateek calling me about my credit card interest rates.
I don't even have a Bank of America credit card.

We are not stupid. We see the reality of this Brandon administration. We know better than to blame Russia/OPEC for the prices. We were energy INDEPENDENT until you came in and blew up a problem that did not exist. Get out your Jimmy Carter sweaters and get ready to pay for your sky high energy bills. EVERYTHING this jocko has touched has been a disaster. Mandatory shots, energy, shipping crisis, Afghanistan, illegal aliens, inflation, and on and on. The man is an empty vessel and the puppet masters are idiots. FJB

This sharp increase in oil prices shows that Biden’s payment of $450,000 per illegal immigrant, up to $1 million per family, is an act of kindness. How else can an illegal alien and his family pay for gasoline, home heating oil, food and that 10 day cruise in the Caribbean without Biden cash? And get to remain and travel freely in the US as an undocumented alien. Biden may not like Americans but he knows how to make these invaders comfortable.
Seriously, there will be a severe drop in sales of pickups and SUVs as gasoline prices go over $4.00 per gallon, hurting GM and Ford. Plus lots of repossessions of gas guzzling vehicles. Worst of all, energy poverty will become the norm for those living on modest pensions or incomes. BBB, Build Back Brutally. FJB.

We don't need large institutions to issue us dire warnings, we see it every day. As it was in the other gas crisis we have lived through, the first one in 1972, people will drive less and less until the wholesalers and retailers feel the pinch. They will put pressure on the government by paying less in income tax and the government will adjust. At least a sane government would move to correct the problem, this bunch of lunatics is unpredictable.

Let the fuel prices go high enough so that the fools who vote for Democrats will finally understand they are voting to destroy their own way of life; THEN they will have a change of heart and vote for America.

The only thing good about this is how many voters will turn from blue to red in 2022. And if every freezing illegal claims a missing child or two, they will be gone .. back home and live the high life there on our money.

I use heating oil, approx 50 gal/week in the winter. My furnaces are running this morning. The numbers on the thermostats should read $$ signs and not degrees. At least I live in the South - Piedmont NC - and it will get back to the upper 60's-low 70's starting Sunday, and will get a reprieve for a few days. But this mid-century modern ranch (all original) with high ceilings, lots of glass, and R-0 insulation factor is like heating a big tent.

Where’s Chuck E Schumer demanding that the oil reserve be tapped in order to lower gasoline prices like he bellowed out during the Bush presidency?

If you recall, Obama openly stated that gas prices needed to go to $9 a gallon. but he never quite got there. Now that he and his cronies have President Poopypants as their puppet, the final climb to that goal looks very possible. They're loving all the anguish they're causing for the deplorables who cling to their bibles and their guns...but not doing much with either...so far.

Biden you cheater, if you had left Trump's energy policies alone, we would still be energy self-sufficient. Supply and price gouging would be a non-starter.

Oil has been at the $100 level before, and gas prices were around $4.50 a gallon in most parts of the country. The price didn't stay there too long. Now with inflation in play, the price for gas could end up being $5.50 or $6.00 a gallon in much of the U.S at $100 a barrel. However, unlike in the past when a price that high would increase production, and bring the price of oil down, Biteme has limited the increase in production of oil in this country. So the price could stay higher for quite a while.

If we had all along been wallowing in high prices with $100 a barrel foreign oil for decades we wouldn't notice this but we had a taste of the real good life with President Trump giving us energy independence. Now we know what happened when an low life buffoon like Biden ruined it all on his first day of the 'steal'. We know this doesn't have to be it is just like the border crisis. FJB & Kamala Harris.

The oil companies cannot produce oil, when they are capped on the amount of carbon they can produce, without confiscatory taxes. The oil companies are abandoning most of their development projects all over the world. The people of the world will have to decide if they want heat and cooling in their homes, and gasoline for their cars, because the international communists in charge have every intention of eliminating carbon availability, to be replaced with wind and mice with rubber bands.

The last meltdown was precipitated by a rapid rise in oil prices to $150 due to an explosion in Chinese demand. Businesses quickly shut down or cut back due to the increase in fuel prices followed by rapid layoffs resulting in loan payment defaults by overextended, technically unqualified, usually immigrant first time home buyers with inflated mortgages.
No one wants to talk about this but were are going there again. It doesn't matter how low the interest if you don't have a job. But wait, our liberal government will absolve mortgages holders who choose not to pay, while you do. Another giant leap of socialism is just a step away and of course they are actually orchestrating the whole thing to advance their green agenda of no gas vehicles.

June 2022? That's just in time for midterms!
FJB!
What's it going to take to get corporate America and the rest of the multinationals to turn on Biden? They probably never will as long as they are getting their cut (just like Joe). Would hope they see Biden is bad for business, and act accordingly, but big business is controlled by the left anymore.

Very aware, #22, thanks.
Paypal is ONLY used from two computers, never from phone, and if I care about tracking, the phone is wrapped in several layers of foil, which WILL stop any electromagnetic signals, in or out. Most of the time....I'm at home or other places where I really don't care if they know I go, like grocery store, Home Depot, or the range. And if I were ever to want to speak in actual privacy, the phone would be far away, as would any other phones. But... not being a very interesting person to track, and having had a top secret clearance for most of my adult life....I've already been as deeply probed and tracked as anyone ever can be by the government.
If there was a smart phone that used some OS other than Apple (I despise the company, and all their devices, and have since the 80s) or Android (google), I'd probably get one. As it is, ALL "apps" are disabled or uninstalled on my smart phone other than a two, Gasbuddy and a weather app, and location is permanently off....and yes, they can still do tower triangulation, less precise. For both GB and weather, I have to enter a city.
