The Biden Administration Makes an Idiotic
Move on Gas Prices That Is Sure to Fail

Original Article

The gas price crisis in the United States continues to spiral out of control. Those in the South have seen their gas prices double to over $3.00 a gallon over the last several months, but they have it easy compared to places like California, where one station was recently charging over $7.00 a gallon. That’s enough to make Europe blush.Of course, every bit of this was self-inflicted on the nation, not by consumers, but by the Biden administration pandering to far-left delusions about climate change completely destroying the planet. So what’s the solution? Is it to drill more domestically? To greenlight Keystone XL and other pipelines?

Comments:

Is it just me, or does the Biden Administration seem to be making a lot of idiotic moves?

The mistake is assuming the left is doing this for anything other than nefarious purposes. Dubya Bush committed us to ethanol and other "green" fuels because they make fortunes for insiders, and despite these things being proven to create more pollution than gasoline and wasting energy, not even Donald Trump lifted a finger to undo it. Same with domestic drilling; even when gasoline was above $4.00 a gallon under Dubya, he refused domestic drilling in pristine ANWAR and let us ride it out.

Americans are feeling the effect of past low prices and oversupply that forced production cuts. No one produces anything at a loss, which is what our oil producers were doing, with an average closing price of $39.68/bbl in 2020. Each barrel's breakeven price is about $50. You can't make up the difference by volume selling.

fact is, the stupidity of the democratic voter is appalling. They're on that plantation for a reason. They are that ignorant, so indoctrinated that they are blind to reality. To preach about climate change, then to turnaround and ask OPEC to drill for more oil is the height of hypocrisy. But don't try telling that to a parasite living off the taxpayers dollar. Wake up...

I don't mind the "idea" of all electric. In fact I wish President Trump, if he runs again, would make BUILDING NUKES and reducing emissions in China and India a part of his platform. Oil isn't going anywhere. Take a look around at all the stuff made of plastic. Like that nice, smooth highway to drive on? It's made of asphalt. Guess what's used in asphalt. And there are numerous other products made with oil - from medicine to makeup.

Well around here in January when Trump was still President and his Make America Energy Independent policies still existed, a gallon of unleaded gasoline cost $1.49 a gallon, and now after Biden has been President for eight months and scrapped those Trump policies, that same gallon of gasoline costs about $3.79. I guess all the “smart” people who listened to the partisan 24/7 CNN and MSNBC political propaganda putted down Trump’s tough talking Put America First and US Energy Independent based Tweets, and fashionably voted for Biden will not mind paying about $5.00 or more for a gallon of Middle East produced gasoline this winter. Then on top of that they will not mind paying 50% more to heat their homes in the coming months. Trump who resides in South Florida must be laughing his butt off at such stupidity.

The president of China, by far the world’s biggest greenhouse gas emitter, isn’t going. Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose economy would collapse if the world stops buying and burning Russia’s fossil fuels, also won’t be there. Their absence, coupled with weak or vague climate action plans put forward by other major polluters such as India, Brazil and Mexico, is already hanging like smog over COP26, the United Nations-led climate summit that begins Nov. 1 in Glasgow, Scotland. President Biden says he’ll be in attendance “with bells on.”  CORRECTION*

What do the theories of Friedrich Hayek have to do with our current supply crisis, with container ships piling up on the coast of California? Well, let’s see. Hayek, an Austrian economist, is best known for his book, The Road to Serfdom, in which he expresses his deep concern about the spread of socialism and the resultant threat to economic independence and freedom in general. It is the work of Hayek, after he took a position at the University of Chicago, that sparked the movement known as the “Chicago school” of economics. Names associated with the movement include Milton Friedman and George Stigler.

This really isn’t a “new” story because it’s been going on for quite a while now, though you wouldn’t know it based on the paucity of mainstream media coverage it receives. The subject is Walgreens and the chain of drug stores they operate in California. The huge pharmacy chain has been slowly shutting down its stores across the state, most commonly in the San Francisco area. The reason for the closures isn’t a lack of business. It’s a popular outlet that still draws plenty of customers.

In today’s chaotic political landscape, it is obvious that the Democrat Party in power is comprised largely of far-left radicals, many of them shockingly anti-American and predictably anti-Semitic (as are all deranged leftists). After all, with Barack Obama, they thought they were significantly closer to their 100-year goal of a socialist-cum-communist America, and believed that “President” Hillary would fulfill their cherished fantasy. And then along came President Trump to smash that fantasy to smithereens. When everything the Democrats tried to sabotage President Trump with failed––the Russian hoax, the Ukraine hoax, the Stormy Daniels hoax, the impeachment fiascos, on and on––

West Virginia Democrat Sen. Senate Democrats are facing mounting pressure to increase the nation’s debt threshold by Oct. 18, amid concern from the Biden administration that the U.S. could default on financial obligations. Republicans in the upper chamber, who have already voted twice against raising the U.S. debt limit, are expected to block another vote Wednesday. Earlier this week, reports showed Democrats were considering changing chamber rules to create an exception

Another reminder that few politicians in American history have ever cared less about being reelected than Cheney does right now. But it’s also an odd comment considering that Milley’s been at pains to say — publicly, at least — that he didn’t do anything unusual during the post-election period while Trump was busy trying to overturn the election. My calls with China’s top general were routine and were known to my civilian superiors in the administration, he said yesterday before a Senate committee. My meeting with subordinates about the nuclear chain of command was proper as the president’s top military advisor, which places me in the chain of communication, he maintained.

The New York Times published an opinion essay on Tuesday that imagined new designs for the American flag, some of which emphasized divisions and decline in the country. "The American flag is a potent piece of national iconography, but its design shifted frequently until the early 1900s. What if it were redesigned today? We asked artists and graphic designers to try," the Times wrote. "Some are functional designs, others artistic renderings; some represent America as it could be, others how the artist sees the country now."
