Alec Baldwin said Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins 'was my friend' and revealed he 'took her to dinner with the director' on the first day of shooting when he stopped to talk to photographers in Vermont. Baldwin was with his wife Hilaria, who appeared to be filming the interaction, when the couple pulled over to talk to photographers in Manchester, Vermont. The couple spoke for roughly four minutes. He said: 'A woman died. She was my friend.'

Comments:

Baldwin is a self-righteous jerk.

The shooting occurred during a rehearsal. The pistol had 6 chamners. One was empty. There was one live round and three blanks. As the pistol was a single action Baldwin had to pull the hammer back and thereafter - as a seperate action - pull the trigger. He did that two times. The fatal shot occurred during the second trigger pull. Involuntary manslaughter under New Mexico law. Punishable up to 18 months incarcertation and a $5,000 fine. Guilty persons: The so-called "Armorer," Assistant Director Halls and Baldwin.

“A woman died” is like Ilhan Omar saying of 9/11, “Some people did something.” If Baldwin had a molecule of decency he would go into hiding, pray for mercy, atone for a lifetime of nastiness and only emerge for his trial.

When Dick Cheney non-fatally peppered his friend and hunting partner with bird shot on a hunting trip, Alec Baldwin was blogging that he wanted to see Cheney arrested and put on trial... "Cheney is a terrorist. He terrorizes our enemies abroad and innocent citizens here at home indiscriminately. Who ever thought Harry Whittington would be the answer to America's prayers. (?) Finally, someone who might get that lying, thieving Cheney into a courtroom to answer some direct questions." - Alec Baldwin Feb. 17, 2006 What do you say now Alec?

He didn't obey any of the rules and standards that there already were, so how is he going to lead the way by proposing more of them? All he had to do is obey what was there already, and he did not.

Jill Biden defended Joe Biden's mental health, calling questions about her husband's capabilities 'ridiculous' and saying he works 'almost 24 hours' a day. Biden sat down with CBS' Rita Braver at Camp David to talk about life in the White House - a rare TV interview from the private presidential retreat in the Maryland mountains. In the conversation, she admitted being first lady was a 'little harder' than she expected, expressed optimism at what her husband can do in a highly-charged political environment of Washington, and dismissed recent polls showing Americans have questions about the president's mental fitness.

Whoopi Goldberg has implied men have no right to comment on abortions as she slammed Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito Thursday for a remark he made while debating Roe v Wade. 'The fetus has an interest in having a life,' Alito said Wednesday during oral arguments in the case of Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health - where Mississippi is attempting to strike down a lower court's blocking of its 15-week abortion ban. A Black Lives Matter activist has claimed the Waukesha Christmas parade attack which killed five people was linked to the acquittal of teenager Kyle Rittenhouse. Activist Vaun Mayes speculated that the attack which saw suspect Darrell Brooks Jr, 39, drive a car into a crowd of parade goers in Wisconsin on Sunday was the 'start of a revolution'. Mayes claimed that the horror that unfolded during the Christmas parade was linked to growing anger over the verdict in the Rittenhouse trial, which saw the teenager acquitted on charges stemming from killing two men and wounding another

Residents of a San Francisco condo building where units sell for $1million say they’re living in fear after an adjoining alleyway became the city’s biggest homeless encampment. The massive tent city - occupied by a feces-hurling man and an assortment of other untoward characters - is paces away from The Artani, an eight-story Van Ness Avenue complex where residents say they’re being spooked by a growing number of vagrant neighbors. Condo resident Amber Lusko said the encampment, exacerbated by the COVID pandemic, has drawn rats, thieves, and mentally unstable adults who are turning their neighborhood into a state of bedlam.

China's growing military muscle and its drive to end American predominance in the Asia-Pacific is rattling the U.S. defense establishment. American officials see trouble quickly accumulating on multiple fronts — Beijing's expanding nuclear arsenal, its advances in space, cyber and missile technologies, and threats to Taiwan. 'The pace at which China is moving is stunning,' said General John Hyten, the No. 2-ranking U.S. military officer, who previously commanded U.S. nuclear forces and oversaw Air Force space operations. At stake is a potential shift in the global balance of power that has favored the United States for decades.

DAVIS, Calif. — Banana peels, chicken bones and leftover veggies won't have a place in California trashcans under the nation's largest mandatory residential food waste recycling program that's set to take effect in January. The effort is designed to keep landfills in the most populous U.S. state clear of food waste that damages the atmosphere as it decays. When food scraps and other organic materials break down they emit methane, a greenhouse gas more potent and damaging in the short-term than carbon emissions from fossil fuels. To avoid those emissions, California plans to start converting residents' food waste into compost or

President Biden has signed a series of executive orders to make the federal government carbon neutral. The Democrat president on Wednesday ordered federal agencies to purchase electric vehicles, harness wind, solar, and nuclear energy to power facilities, and to use sustainable building materials. The goal is for the federal government to stop adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere by 2050. In the next decade, Biden wants the government to cease purchasing electricity produced from sources that emit carbon dioxide. By 2035, the administration wants all new federal cars and truck purchases to be zero-emissions. Right now, only about 1.5% of the government fleet is electric vehicles.

Newly resurfaced video appears to show a US attorney appointed by President Joe Biden angrily confronting journalists in an expletive-ridden tirade in January 2021. Biden tapped Suffolk Country District Attorney Rachael Rollins to lead the US Attorney's Office in Massachusetts in July. On Wednesday she made history as the first black woman to be confirmed in the role by the Senate, when Vice President Kamala Harris broke a 50-50 tie along party lines. But in footage recorded by Boston 25 News earlier in the year, Rollins angrily threatens a news team with legal action and accuses them of endangering her children for asking for an interview near her home.

A December 2nd op-ed at Swarthmore College boasts a titillating title: “Should We Be Kicking White People Out of Parties?” Writer Sameer Halepoto notes that Caucasians are crowding soirees. And when whites are out and about, others are put out: Hosted by the Swarthmore Queer Union (SQU), Swarthmore African Student Association (SASA), Swarthmore ENLACE, and the Swarthmore African-American Student Society (SASS), the party at Paces the Saturday before Thanksgiving welcomed diversity more than most.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Forget speeding tickets — California truck drivers will soon have to watch out for pollution tickets. State regulators on Thursday voted to crack down on heavy duty trucks weighing more than 14,000 pounds (6,350 kilograms) — those big semi-trailers that make up just 3% of all vehicles in California but spend so much time on the road they account for more than half of all pollution from cars and trucks each year. New rules will require these big trucks, including ones from other states passing through Califonria — to be tested at least four times per year to make sure they
