It was, of course, only a matter of time.
With his passing in February of this year, there would inevitably be a last issue of Rush Limbaugh’s monthly magazine – The Limbaugh Letter. That issue has just arrived in my mail box – not the electronic one but the snail mail one as the magazine was indeed quite physical.
As a subscriber to Rush 24/7, I was a subscriber to The Limbaugh Letter. It would arrive in the mail every month like clockwork, with Rush’s latest musings for the magazine written in about 16 concise pages.
That the magazine has been kept going

Noon to 3 p.m. will never be the same.
Fortunately we have Steve Bannon's Warroom. Although much more serious, he inspires us to "Action, action, action."
I think Rush would be proud!

Every time I get into my car in the middle of the day....i start to reach for the radio to turn on Rush, like I have for decades before.....and then remember that I can't. And I am sad all over again.
He was a truly great man.

#5, I am with you. I'll never stop missing him. He was our optimist and listening to him made me feel so much better. I am so happy for him that he's not here to see all of his predictions come to fruition. I think it's worse than he ever thought it would be. May Rush always rest in peace.

I cried the day he died, and I cry every time I realize that he's gone forever. As #1 said, I miss him like a dear friend.

Ditto to what you good folks have said...... For me it's lights out. Nothing will replace our beloved friend mentor brother . Good night El Rushbo.

I was a long-time subscriber, but I can't feel bad about Rush, knowing where he is and that he is not enduring the hell on earth that is 2021 America.
Were he here, he would no doubt be optimistic, as always. Publicly at least. We've lost the culture.

I don’t know, #9. He always said that he would tell us when it was time to panic. I keep wondering if he would tell us that time is now.

I grieved for Rush the way I would a dear friend. He didn't know me, but I knew him well.
Every time I hear his show intro music, it lifts my mood.
Then I hear the boring replacement for his time slot, and it makes me sad again.
No one can ever hope to do what Rush did daily....ever!

Maybe so, #10, but the Let's Go Brandon movement may have legs, and may be the beginning of something much bigger. Am I optimistic? Not really.

Rush died, Fox laid off Lou Dobbs. I listen to Bannon occasionally, and to Tucker Carlson sometimes.

I imagine that many of you sent a message to Rush through his website that last sad year, like I did. I was very surprised a few weeks later when I received the picture card of him receiving the presidential medal of freedom at the state of the union address. I have the picture in my office above my desk.
The thing I miss the most is Rush's sense of humor. The new boys just don't have it.

Rush Limbaugh will, or should be, remembered as among the greatest thinkers, communicators, humorists and humanitarians of any historical age. We are lucky to have experienced him.

It’s my unverified opinion that Rush became a Christian. Some of us will see him in eternity and we can laugh about some of the good old days.

The intro music to the Buck Sexton/Clay Travis show brings Rush to the forefront every day. Rush, you go, sir.

I still feel like I have lost a member of my family. He truly was "our guiding light through times of trouble, confusion, murkiness, tumult, chaos, misdirection, and even good times.."
He had a way of lifting us in a way that inspired us. I can't help but think that much of the crap being shoved in our faces might not be going on if he were still here with us. Things sure seem to have gotten much worse without him.
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton still have the same opening theme music, still have the same intro "bumper" music coming in from commercials and the same phone number. They move at a faster pace, and cover a lot of ground each da
