Colo. Democrats changing party registration
ahead of Boebert’s GOP primary: report

Original Article

Colorado Democrats are potentially taking a page out of the late, great Rush Limbaugh’s book and are switching party affiliations ahead of GOP primaries in the state in an effort to boot Rep. Lauren Boebert from office.Thousands of registered Colorado Democrats have reportedly changed parties since January. Democrat Party voter rolls in Boebert’s 3rd Congressional District have decreased by approximately 2.7 percent or 3,700 voters between February and May according to an analysis that was done by CPR News. At the same time, the district reportedly saw growth in its unaffiliated voter numbers. No other Colorado district has seen that kind of increase in voters changing party registration

The open primary is working exactly like the Democrats planned. They foisted this off on the voters of Colorado in 2016. And of course the feckless Republican State Party thought it was just a wonderful idea. However, in Boebert’s race I don’t think it will make a difference. She won her last election 51.4% to 45.2% or 220,634 votes to 194,122 votes and her redrawn is more conservative now.

Lauren's gonna get more votes than she did last time. All she's gotta do is have a campaign slogan "Let's Go Brandon." Heck, even Brandon's wife, The Doctor, might even vote for her.

There is nothing new under the sun. In 2010, I became a dem for the primary. Arlen Spector returned to the dem party because he was afraid Toomey would beat him in the Rep primary. I voted for Spector's opponent (Sestak) in the primary. Spector lost in the dem primary.

This has irked me to no end. Every party should control its own primary. If the requirement to vote in that primary is to be a registered, dues-paying member in good standing of that party, so much the better. A political party is a private, voluntary association, and should be controlled not one whit by the government.

Careful there. In Tennessee several candidates have been denied bona fide status and can't run because they followed Rush's advice and voted in Democrat primaries instead of Republican ones. That meant when it came time to qualify for candidacy, they hadn't voted in enough Republican Primary elections to qualify. If you have any idea you may run for office, this may not be such a good plan.

Despite bombshell claims in the Left-leaning media that Trump ‘was at the center’ and to be blamed for the Jan 6 ‘carnage’, last night’s ‘first hearing’ of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack proved disappointingly flat. The event was treated like a blockbuster film, with blanket coverage on all major networks. This was the first of at least six hearings scheduled just for the month of June, and it was heralded by Democrats with the promise of “unseen” footage and Hollywood-style production values that would excite and enliven what is, by now, somewhat old news.

One of the most difficult psychological transitions is facing hatred of self or loved ones by significant people in our lives. The challenge of admitting when we are hated makes it difficult to take steps to protect the vulnerable from that hatred. The normal mind projects onto others the degree of acceptance and respect that it naturally grants to others. The healthy mind must learn through unhappy experience when mutual acceptance and respect are absent. Therefore, it has been hard to admit that over time Democrats have succumbed to beliefs and policies based on hatred of us and our children.

The January 6 committee was doomed from the start. Comprised of anti-Trump partisans picked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), one of the most anti-Trump partisans of them all, the committee appeared destined to do a political hatchet job on the former president rather than expose the real derelictions of duty that gave rise to the absence of adequate protection for the Capitol that day. Despite conjecture to the contrary, there remains no actual proof sufficient to tie President Donald Trump to any crimes committed at the Capitol on January 6. He gave no order, and he took no action, to cause any single person to break into the Capitol

It wasn’t that long ago when the left’s narrative on ‘gay rights’ was simple, straightforward, and easy to support: Let’s all be tolerant of one another, live and let live, and don’t discriminate. Tolerance is, after all, one of the fundamental tenets of the philosophy which drove America’s founding. But as the saying goes, “give someone an inch and they’ll take a mile,” which is the situation in which we find ourselves today. The message of ‘tolerance’ eventually morphed into ‘acceptance.’ At some point late in the Obama Administration, our culture decided that it was inadequate to merely tolerate the shenanigans of the LGBTQ community, we needed to welcome them.

Everyone has an opinion, and the pundits are competing in the expertise sweepstakes. What can we say with some degree of plausibility? The Democrat roster is, by all accounts, dramatically uninspiring. Biden, who speaks in tongues, is plainly beyond redeeming; the question is whether he will manage to survive the year, let alone stumble, lollop, and whiffle to the end of his first term. Kamala Harris belongs in vaudeville or farce, given her talent for provoking laughter. Both will have to be retired in favor of an electable candidate. But who?
