Colorado Democrats are potentially taking a page out of the late, great Rush Limbaugh’s book and are switching party affiliations ahead of GOP primaries in the state in an effort to boot Rep. Lauren Boebert from office.Thousands of registered Colorado Democrats have reportedly changed parties since January. Democrat Party voter rolls in Boebert’s 3rd Congressional District have decreased by approximately 2.7 percent or 3,700 voters between February and May according to an analysis that was done by CPR News. At the same time, the district reportedly saw growth in its unaffiliated voter numbers. No other Colorado district has seen that kind of increase in voters changing party registration

Inflation accelerated further in May, with prices rising 8.6% from a year ago for the fastest increase since December 1981, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

One of the most difficult psychological transitions is facing hatred of self or loved ones by significant people in our lives. The challenge of admitting when we are hated makes it difficult to take steps to protect the vulnerable from that hatred. The normal mind projects onto others the degree of acceptance and respect that it naturally grants to others. The healthy mind must learn through unhappy experience when mutual acceptance and respect are absent. Therefore, it has been hard to admit that over time Democrats have succumbed to beliefs and policies based on hatred of us and our children.
After Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump, Brian Fallon needed a job. Fallon had served as Clinton’s national press secretary during the campaign, and before that he had done the same job for my colleague Chuck Schumer in the Senate. For a while, his reputation around Washington, DC, was stellar. He was, according to a lengthy profile in the Daily Beast, “one of the most sought-after operatives in Democratic politics: a brass-knuckle brawler with experience at the highest levels of government, a cellphone filled with the top journalists in town, and a reputation for being preternaturally on message.”
The January 6 committee was doomed from the start. Comprised of anti-Trump partisans picked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), one of the most anti-Trump partisans of them all, the committee appeared destined to do a political hatchet job on the former president rather than expose the real derelictions of duty that gave rise to the absence of adequate protection for the Capitol that day. Despite conjecture to the contrary, there remains no actual proof sufficient to tie President Donald Trump to any crimes committed at the Capitol on January 6. He gave no order, and he took no action, to cause any single person to break into the Capitol

The Democrat roster is, by all accounts, dramatically uninspiring. Biden, who speaks in tongues, is plainly beyond redeeming; the question is whether he will manage to survive the year, let alone stumble, lollop, and whiffle to the end of his first term. Kamala Harris belongs in vaudeville or farce, given her talent for provoking laughter. Both will have to be retired in favor of an electable candidate. But who?

Axios acquired a copy of the letter, which replicates a letter that was originally sent to Congress in 2019. There are some revisions to the message and an increased number of signatories.
The push to re-send the letter is the result of a partnership between Levi’s and Mike Bloomberg-affiliated Everytown for Gun Safety.
In the letter, CEOs describe gun violence as a “public health crisis,” noting economic impact of gun crime and the human cost of gun crime.

It is no surprise that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) dislikes President Donald Trump. After all, no man has done more to denigrate the Iraq/Afghan War strategy that her father crusaded for than Trump. He not only opposed Cheney’s approach to war, but he also mocked it mercilessly. As the former Vice President’s oldest daughter, with her own dose of less charm and less savvy, Liz Cheney has now entered on her own crusade. She stands athwart the House floor denouncing Trump, all his pomps, and all his evil works. Instead of Holy Water, she will sprinkle the tears of fellow Republican failure Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) on the TV cameras.
