Colorado Democrats are potentially taking a page out of the late, great Rush Limbaugh’s book and are switching party affiliations ahead of GOP primaries in the state in an effort to boot Rep. Lauren Boebert from office.Thousands of registered Colorado Democrats have reportedly changed parties since January. Democrat Party voter rolls in Boebert’s 3rd Congressional District have decreased by approximately 2.7 percent or 3,700 voters between February and May according to an analysis that was done by CPR News. At the same time, the district reportedly saw growth in its unaffiliated voter numbers. No other Colorado district has seen that kind of increase in voters changing party registration

The open primary is working exactly like the Democrats planned. They foisted this off on the voters of Colorado in 2016. And of course the feckless Republican State Party thought it was just a wonderful idea.
However, in Boebert’s race I don’t think it will make a difference. She won her last election 51.4% to 45.2% or 220,634 votes to 194,122 votes and her redrawn is more conservative now.

Lauren's gonna get more votes than she did last time. All she's gotta do is have a campaign slogan
"Let's Go Brandon." Heck, even Brandon's wife, The Doctor, might even vote for her.

If we had a unified Republican Party, there would only be one candidate for her seat and this effort by democrats would not exist. It’s the establishment and democrats versus MAGA.

The dems have always voted in the republican primary in my republican district in washington state. They install a rino with the help of republican rino voters. Thats how we got unconstitutional rino dan newhouse who voted for the unconstitutional insurrection impeachment rather than tea party candidate, conservative clint didier.

I wish I could vote for her, but I am in the wrong state. All I get is Pelosi's butt Kisser Steny Hoyer.

Nice try, Terresa. But the affiliation change of dims to unaffiliated is due to a mass exodus from the dim party. They are tired of the lies and the evil that the dims bring to Colorado.

There is nothing new under the sun.
In 2010, I became a dem for the primary. Arlen Spector returned to the dem party because he was afraid Toomey would beat him in the Rep primary. I voted for Spector's opponent (Sestak) in the primary. Spector lost in the dem primary.

This has irked me to no end. Every party should control its own primary. If the requirement to vote in that primary is to be a registered, dues-paying member in good standing of that party, so much the better. A political party is a private, voluntary association, and should be controlled not one whit by the government.

#11, I am going to pray you are correct. Wouldn’t that be something! Clearly, democrats are responsible for this nightmare of an economy and rightly so. I just hope and pray enough sane democrats have seen the light.

Careful there. In Tennessee several candidates have been denied bona fide status and can't run because they followed Rush's advice and voted in Democrat primaries instead of Republican ones. That meant when it came time to qualify for candidacy, they hadn't voted in enough Republican Primary elections to qualify. If you have any idea you may run for office, this may not be such a good plan.

As if WE needed more information as to the cheating democrats....it will come back to haunt them...they have under/estimated the catholic upbringing of the hispanic voter...whether American born or illegal...it is the same mis/management of their phony control theory...that pours out of DC...they couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag...WE're counting on their ignorance to sweep the house in 2022...

#11 is exactly right. I have many family members in Colorado, and Colorado has historically been conservative until recent years. The Dominion company settled in Colorado, and It was only small pockets in high populations areas that flipped the state blue. Now, Colorado is taking their state back.

We have not had free and fair elections for decades. The system is rigged top to bottom front to back. Politics is a blood sport and the ends justify the means. Just win baby means cheat if you have to. If you don’t cheat you won’t win.

This happened during the Idaho primary so they could vote for the incumbent RINO governor.
