General Electric has become the latest company to require all US-based workers to get COVID-19 shots by December 8 in order to comply with President Joe Biden's executive order. As a federal contractor who sells jet engines and other equipment to the government, GE said its 56,000 employees must comply with the executive order and updated its vaccine policy last week. Employees can avoid the shot through approved medical or religious exemptions. Nazi USA now. Hey, biden, what about all the illegals coming across the border and being sent all over USA, spreading covid around. You ever thought of that. This regime is disgusting. Republicans, I keep getting emails from you for money. It's not going to happen because, except for a few, you're doing nothing.

Being self employed has its risks but at least one big advantage. I don’t see the upside in firing employees, especially highly trained ones. Police, nurses, technicians etc. This is madness.

Biden's executive order only pertains to federal employees and contractors. GE is defining "federal contractor" very broadly as an excuse for all employees to get vaxxed - even the ones that have nothing to do with military jet engines.

Why do I think the employees will protest this and many will quit. I do my part and send an email or two and make a couple of calls. Did it for Southwest too. We the People have the strength in stopping this.

#1 - I'll take you at your word since you must have dealt with many types of appliances, but our 1999 GE washer/dryer are still going strong. We've not had one problem in 22 years, not one service call. Of course, these were built way back in the last century and are the large capacity type. I guess they are "legacy" products before the company went Woke.
Requiring the jab is the easiest way the Marxists can get rid of people who are still into that "freedom" thing. Culling the independent skilled workers is also the quickest way to bring down the system and introduce chaos that will usher in the "solution" of Socialism. Welcome to Part III of Atlas Shrugged.

There is no such national mandate. GE wants to command and control its 56 thousand share of the populace, so they call it a mandate.

I’ve been boycotting GE for a couple of decades. And just to clarify, Ronny, Talibiden never issued an executive order mandating vaccines. All he did was talk about it in a speech. There is no EO and no mandate.

We are one step closer to being a fascist state when just the threat of a mandate will cause industries to self-regulate. I guess GE won't miss those employees they terminate - good luck finding replacements! A local business owner was telling a group of us over breakfast that he had two openings and received 22 applications and set up 11 interviews. Only 2 showed up and they were both late. Neither position got filled.

If there WERE an Executive Order it could be challenged and probably soon struck down in court. This way the Marxists get their corporate lackeys to do their dirtywork. WHY the CEOs of supposedly for-profit companies are so eager to partner with the fascist state is the question...but it has happened before.

Having (briefly) been a GE employee (as my company was acquired by GE), you learn quickly that GE does not stand for Good for Employees.
GE Bureaucracy is almost as bad as the federal bureaucracy. No GE products here, either.
