The TSA should use its canine teams to keep airport security lines moving if there is a worker shortage amid the federal COVID-19 vaccination mandate, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said Sunday.President Biden’s vaccination order for federal workers takes effect three days before Thanksgiving — the busiest time of the year for air travel.“If TSA lags in jabs, send in the dogs,” Schumer said during a press conference in Manhattan, citing recent revelations from the TSA that 40 percent of its employees remain unvaccinated.

Good Lord. Against American citizens? Dogs handled by authorities? “…(S)end in the dogs”? Sen. Schumer epitomizes the Democrat, uniparty (maintain the status quo at any cost) political culture. What happened to Americans, how and why can anyone cast a vote for a politician or a party with beliefs like this? 1. Government entitlement rewards. 2. Insufficient education. 3. New Age nihilism. 4. Unearned affluence. Even through this tsunami of bribes and malign neglect taking the place of values, how can voters be so divorced from observable reality?

How is a dog going to speed up the check in process? Will they check your ID? Run the scanner? Pat you down? I think dogs can search for things using their sense of smell, but I do not believe they can improve the TSA check in process.

It was a farce from the start- you used it as a way to steal the election with mail in ballots etc. Now you're killing people with your "vax" while making your cronies rich from the pharms. All this mandating this and that while the border is wide open with many types of infections, including covid, being sent all over the USA. You haven't given me a reason to believe this regime at all. The big pharms love you - this gov't is the goose that is laying the golden egg for them.

Schumer's a genius. His plan has the following advantages: 1) The dogs are smarter than your average TSA agent. 2) They are way friendlier than your average TSA agent. 3) They'll work for less pay and can be trained to vote Democrat next election, just like your average TSA agent.

What a great idea, Chuck. Lets make the airport environment more tense than it already is by making everybody run a gauntlet of dogs trained to attack on command. Just like Nazi Germany. One hallmark of any totalitarian society is restrictions on travel. That's where we are heading. Voters need to wise up and vote these tyrants out of office before we lose that right entirely. Democrats especially need to wise up. People like Schumer won't be gone until Democrat voters wise up. Btw, there aren't enough dogs. Each dog comes with a handler. What if the handler declines the vaccine? The dogs aren't easily switched from one handler to another. They are a team. Dogs don't check for everything either. Still need TSA agents going through people's belongings. Sounds like Schumer wants to expand the TSA. Perhaps that's his intention all along.

TSA doesn't utilize dual trained dogs (explosives and crowd control), so there is no need to overreact. They mostly use labradors and golden retrievers. Most are trained at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Tx. They also have an adoption program for older labs and those who flunk out of training. I have one whose official release papers stated that he was "too friendly." I snatched that one up and brought him into the family to join my former explosives sniffing German Shepard. Schumer makes a common mistake in understanding how working dogs work or don't work. Dogs, however well trained, are no replacement for modern explosives detection technology and trained operators and using them on people rather than objects is a temporary solution at best. During the check-in process, dogs are not helpful and could be a detriment. Schumer is doing what all progressives are doing in covering for Biden's stupid shot mandates and the firing of essential workers. #5 is correct in that obtaining the dogs and getting them trained and paired with a trained handler is a very lengthy process and is no substitute for firing TSA operators.

The federal COVID-19 vaccination mandate is the reason for the shortage of TSA workers. “If TSA lags in jabs, send in the dogs,” was Schumer's response. I guess Schumer has a higher regard for dogs than TSA workers. I am sure that some of these TSA workers had, and recovered from, COVID-19 giving them Natural immunity. Natural immunity provides better protection than than the vaccines, yet they are treated like they have no protection. This is an extreme stupid, anti-science position that the Biden administration is taking. Those with Natural immunity should be included with those who have had "the jab."
