Washington, D.C., Archbishop Cardinal Wilton Gregory is not happy with self-proclaimed catholic and president Joe Biden who recently said that he does not agree that “life begins at conception,” a direct opposition of the Catholic church.“I respect those who believe life begins at the moment of conception,” Biden said, according to Catholic News Agency. “I don’t agree, but I respect that. I’m not going to impose that on people.”The appalling statement by Biden is a direct contradiction of the Catholic Church’s teaching on life and conception. CORRECTION*

The Catholic bishops down in the south were pretty clearly in the Trump camp during the last election. They weren't even very subtle about their intentions and how biden was going to do so much harm to our nation -- especially the unborn.
But this idiot was all-in for biden. So don't even act shocked now. Do yourself a favor, put on sack cloth and ashes, and spend the rest of your life begging God's forgiveness for the evil you helped to unleash on this nation and world!!!

Joey thinks he's also the Pope. And whatever he says it is. Period.

I am shocked in a good way as this Bishop is known to be quite liberal. Now, do something about it. Excommunicate the two for actively and loudly fostering a culture of death.

To understand that life begins at conception isn't simply Catholic teaching - it's also scientific teaching. "Follow the science, Joe!"

Cardinal Gregory actually addressed this? That's a shock.
I served on two boards with then Bishop Gregory way back in the late eighties. On one I represented a consortium of Catholic school in the Joliet Diocese who were working on a plan to push school choice and we met regularly with the School's Office in the Archdiocese of Chicago. The other board was another group made up of members representing the Joliet parishes on LIFE issues. Gregory was spiritual advisor for both groups. He was friendly and affable...our meeting were great, and....that's as far as it went.
We had so many wonderful people involved who were so dedicated. We had ideas for getting our parents and greater community involved in both issues. We had several tremendous advocate's (local religious of different faiths who were a great persuader and public speakers. We were rarin' to go to go alas, we were told too cool it. Bishop Gregory didn't want us to get too "political." "We don't participate in "that realm." Our spineless bishop concurred. We all were all so disillusioned. If the bishop wasn't willing to fight for us where do we go? Nowhere as it happened.
Thirty two years later...Joe Biden (and others) are scandalous. By his political stance and committing the sacrilege of receiving Communion he leads others into mortal sin. Cardinal Gregory has an obligation to ALL Catholic's and to Joe himself to condemn the sin and forbid, publicly, his reception of the sacraments, under penalty of a PUBLIC excommunication.
We need a Cardinal DJT. Someone who is unafraid to take the heat and be what God had demanded he be.

At a Sunday church service just prior to the Nov 2020 election my wife and I listen to the pastor read a letter concerning abortion and voting from the Bishops. Essentially, what we were told was that before voting we should consider the "other issues a candidate supports and not just abortion question". This was in a parish in the midwest. Basically, overlook the fact the the man is a wife beater because he is a great Scout master and always supports the church with his donations... Look, somethings are black or white. For a Catholic to see the Church elders give certain individuals a pass or cover on this issue is horrendous. Maybe, some of the bishops are finally waking up.

"Archbishop Cardinal Wilton Gregory" no such thing as an Archbishop Cardinal! So the Archbishop Cardinal Wilton Gregory finally got "some male fixtures" to call Joe Biden's pro abortion beliefs. It's about time someone in authority stood by Catholic teachings about abortion. Amazing. 'Biden said, according to Catholic News Agency. “I don’t agree, but I respect that. I’m not going to impose that on people.” Still not too impressed with Archbishop Cardinal Gregory. I'll take him for what he says. Betcha the other Archbishop Cardinals will keep their mouths shut and continue to give Biden a thumbs up.

To all those saying the bishops should do more and they should get into sackcloth and ashes for not doing as you suggest, please note, it was Bernard Nathanson as I recall who said abortion got a pass in America because there are so many bigots who were willing to support anything the Catholic Church opposes. IN other words, it is your bigotry that gave Roe v. Wade a pass. Your bigotry is how this happened. Abortion is legal in Europe but less so, because they didn't have anti-Catholicism to dig their feet into. Such as yours. It is the Church that has borne the heat of the day on this issue for fifty years. You go wear some sackcloth.

I'd have more respect for the Catholic Church if they did something other than tsk,tsk about leftist politicians who trot up to the altar rail and take communion at every opportunity, but live lives in defiant opposition to Catholic doctrine. I'm talking about the Kennedys, Pelosi, Biden, and Kerry for starters.

"Life begins at conception" is an indisputable Scientific FACT and is not just simply a Catholic Church teaching church teaching. Confusing that fact with the civil legal definition of "how and when" the law defines a "Legal PERSON", which extends to include inanimate organizations and corporations, and grants the relevant legal rights, is based on Medieval Laws governing "Inheritance and Succession" and the "Laws of Contract", where the latter does not recognize a human under the age of maturity or a mentally disabled human and many other long lived humans as Legal Persons. IT has ZERO, NADA. ZIP, NOTHING to do with biology, physiology and Natural Science.
