Sunland Park, New Mexico—The feds have turned to cutting-edge cameras developed by a virtual-reality wunderkind to help them monitor the southern border—by creating an invisible border wall. The high-tech watch poles known as Autonomous Surveillance Towers are powered by solar energy and use artificial intelligence to detect movement along a two-mile radius, sending the information in real-time to agents patrolling the area. And they’re now being installed at different points along the nearly 2,000 miles of the US-Mexico border.(Snip)Agents working in the El Paso Sector have so far detained 155,892 people in the fiscal year 2021,

Comments:

Cameras installed in remote areas, but the effort is of no value when the Border Patrol simply releases the detainees into the USA instead of returning them to the southernmost part of Mexico. Interesting sub-story about the company founder receiving heat for supporting President Trump.

They get caught IN THE USA! We need them stopped BEFORE they cross the border. Now they will simply cross illegally, look for the nearest camera and wait to be picked up. Biden couldn't make it any easier unless he started providing a free ferry service across the Rio Grande River at key crossing points.

It doesn't stop anything from happening, it's just a verrrrry expensive way to tell you what already has. Then...though they have actual FILM of a crime being committed they do not use it to prosecute. All this does is pay fat checks to high tech workers, and folks to sit in darkened rooms faaaar from the border MORE money than they pay the guys who actually patrol and arrest the actual criminals. MORE than it would cost to finish the actual wall...an expense that is a ONE TIME check, not weekly ....for evvvvverrrr....

We long ago should have grown the Border Patrol numbers, seriously armed them and made it an elite group that was well-paid too. We never did it all these years because neither political party was serious about a truly secure southern border. The whole sloppy system was perfectly set up by the time we got a tyrant democrat in the White House. I think #2 said it all jn a few words.

Migrant crossings have hit another record high with at least 1,000 men, women and children spotted making the journey to the UK today—as Boris Johnson urges France to stop the crossings. Lambertville, N.J.—President Joe Biden approved major disaster declarations Monday greenlighting federal aid for people in six New Jersey counties and five New York counties affected by devastating flooding last week from the remnants of Hurricane Ida. At least 50 people were killed in six Eastern states as record rainfall last Wednesday overwhelmed rivers and sewer systems. Some people were trapped in fast-filling basement apartments and cars, or swept away as they tried to escape. The storm also spawned several tornadoes. Biden is scheduled to visit New Jersey and New York City on Tuesday to survey storm damage, the White House said. The storm killed at least 27 people

During presidential debates that occurred a little less than a year ago, Biden ripped Trump for his handling of the pandemic. The death count was the centerpiece of this attack. What's with the bizarre campaign against Ivermectin? It's not just that the FDA has put out a quackish tweet (shown here by AT contributor Dr. Brian Joondeph, M.D.) scolding viewers that they are not horses or cows. That's in reference to the fact that in some high-dose forms, ivermectin is used as a horse dewormer, begging the question about its effectiveness when it is dosed and formulated properly as a human medical treatment for COVID, prescribed off-label. The news reports repeatedly call ivermectin a dangerous drug, implying that all uses of the drug are dangerous, even when taken properly.

Sometimes it is difficult to know whether or not Joe Biden is senile or just dumb. I know it’s tempting to ascribe everything he does to his dementia, but he’s been stupid for his whole life. Even people suffering from dementia have moments of lucidity, so it’s really impossible to know what is the true motivation behind the President’s asininity. The effects and the facts of it, however, are easy and important to dissect, because whether it’s due to him losing his grip on reality, that he’s just a very simple and dumb man, or a combination of both doesn’t really matter, what matters is the end result.

Even as workers have been more industrious — helping drive corporate profits, the stock market and CEO compensation to record heights — their pay has flatlined, or even declined when factoring
