In Biden’s America, it’s better not
to be employed

The latest jobs report for August was disappointing. Job growth fell by more than half and was one-third of expectations. This was partly because of COVID concerns. But we still don’t have nearly enough adult Americans in the work force. Why? Government welfare policies are clearly keeping Americans — millions — from taking jobs. Here is what we know: Across the country, there are between 5 million and 6 million unemployed Americans, but also an all-time record 10.1 million job openings. These are in construction, warehousing, retail, manufacturing, trucking, business services and so on

The Bible says differently: 2 Thessalonians 3:10 "For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat." My motivational boost comes from: Proverbs 6:6 "Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!"

I view it as Biden exploiting two major problems with work: - Many people do not want to work. - Many businesses aren't fit to work for. Biden has given people dealing with these situations (especially the first group) a way out all the while making them dependent on the government, and more likely to vote Democrat come election time. Also suspect a lot of people successfully managed their lives so they were able to retire early. End result: A labor shortage curtesy of our government. All according to design.

Biden and the leftist and socialist Democrats are effectively buying future votes by handing out huge amounts of “free” government money. As soon as the Democrat controlled Congress comes back into session, look for them to try to pass another “emergency supplemental” spending bill to extend those Government “free” money programs using the COVID Delta virus variant and the hurricane as their excuses.

By the way, if some liberal thinks I am saying to ignore the needy, I am not. It is concerning that there is this fraud running rampant in society and people think it is okay. Whether it is the elections, government handouts, violence or whatever, it is those people who are taking away from the people who really need the help.

Labor Day was once the nation’s most blatantly political national holiday — created by the trade-union movement to celebrate the right of working people to bargain collectively and to stage strikes to press their demands. But no more, for good reason.Even before Congress created the federal holiday in 1894, New York hosted the nation’s first Labor Day parade as 10,000 workers took off from their jobs to march from City Hall to Union Square. As the movement grew, so did the parades and celebrations. How times have changed. Today, Labor Day is largely an occasion for sales, end-of-summer cookouts and back-to-school preparations. Why?

Rachel Maddow is no stranger to fake news. But the MSNBC host’s wild conspiracy theories and inaccurate reporting has typically revolved around political gossip, Capitol Hill intrigue, and a chronic case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. On Saturday, however, the MSNBC host’s personal Twitter account amplified a local tall tale about the drug Ivermectin, which has progressives throwing a tizzy over anecdotal cases that it may have helped some people recover from Covid. (Joe Rogan being the case in point.) Maddow took the local story and blew it up into a national one.

It’s a landlocked country surrounded by our enemies, Russia, China, Iran, who have now been emboldened by this foreign policy, you know, blunder. So, you know, how do we — how do we go forward? Kevin Hart, Megyn Kelly, Joe Rogan, Kanye West and other celebrities have all faced cancel culture — a merciless, social media backlash targeting their comments and beliefs, which seeks to remove them from society. At this time last year, the Wuhan coronavirus was claiming around 1,000 American lives per day. It seemed to me that, absent a sudden and sharp decline in that number, Joe Biden would be our next president. It must have seemed that way to Biden and his top advisers, as well. During presidential debates that occurred a little less than a year ago, Biden ripped Trump for his handling of the pandemic. The death count was the centerpiece of this attack. So what’s the daily death count now, more than seven months into the Biden administration and with a majority of Americans vaccinated?

What's with the bizarre campaign against Ivermectin? It's not just that the FDA has put out a quackish tweet (shown here by AT contributor Dr. Brian Joondeph, M.D.) scolding viewers that they are not horses or cows. That's in reference to the fact that in some high-dose forms, ivermectin is used as a horse dewormer, begging the question about its effectiveness when it is dosed and formulated properly as a human medical treatment for COVID, prescribed off-label. The news reports repeatedly call ivermectin a dangerous drug, implying that all uses of the drug are dangerous, even when taken properly.
