More than 25,000 Afghans who fled Afghanistan after the fall of Kabul to the Taliban are at military bases in the United States and senior U.S. officials expect to double that number before the mission is complete. On Friday, Air Force Gen. Glenn VanHerck, head of U.S. Northern Command, said the Defense Department expects to house some 50,000 people at eight military installations around the country. “We’re ready to expand if needed [but] at this time I don’t anticipate needing any additional bases,” Gen. VanHerck told reporters at the Pentagon.(Snip)Gen. VanHerck called the evacuation and housing mission “a massive military, diplomatic and humanitarian undertaking.” The Afghan evacuees arrived

"Refugee resettlement costs American taxpayers nearly $9 billion every five years, according to research, and each refugee costs taxpayers about $133,000 over the course of their lifetime. Within five years, an estimated 16 percent of all refugees admitted will need housing assistance paid for by taxpayers."

Why? There are plenty of closer countries more like their home.

So Gen. VanHerck's great mission will cost the US taxpayers, who have no say in the matter, a minimum of $6.7 billion. What else could we do with that money? Feed our children, maintain our homes, save for the future?

As we thought. More future dim voters who will be settled in the swing states in time to prevent a republican president in 2024.

Cruel and inhuman. Send them to an Islamic country where they can dress the way they like, eat the food they like, live under the rules they like, worship the way they like, and have 2 or 3 wives the way they like.
Can’t do that here.

The real poor in America will have no say on this. The refugees will live a life of luxury here compared to where they came from. Every living poor in the world desires to be a refugee in America. They look at America as SUCKERs instead of "The Land of Opportunity".

With that many unvetted Afghan “refugees” being brought to the USA we are going to soon recognize that both the good and the bad of Afghanistan were airlifted into the USA because of bureaucratic and political incompetence.
Chances are the Biden Administration will resettle the vast majority of those “refugees” in the political swing States with the assistance of the liberal Democrat aligned refugee resettlement organizations or NGOs that are paid so much by the Biden crew with money allocated for State Department operations depending on how many “refugees” who they resettle and sign up for long term public welfare benefits and “free” healthcare. As soon as the “refugees” are resettled in the USA they will gain the qualification under current chain migration schemes to bring their foreign family members to the USA to join them, so that 50,000 Afghan “refugees” in the first instance, could quickly transform into a second wave of 250,000 Afghan “refugees”, with no Afghan classified as a “refugee” required to establish or prove that they rendered substantial assistance to US Forces in Afghanistan. The political objective of the leftist and socialist Democrats will now be to transform as many as possible of the Afghan “refugee” population into leftist and socialist Democrat voters as fast as possible in those swing States.
