A Marine who claimed he was "relieved from duty" after going viral for criticizing military leadership over the withdrawal from Afghanistan now speculates he might be court-martialed and "will probably do some jail time."Stuart Scheller , who claims now to be a former lieutenant colonel , has been posting regular updates about his dissenting stance that led to his alleged removal from the military, saying in a Wednesday update to a video he uploaded to social media on Aug. 27, "The Marine Corps will assign an investigating officer. Most likely a Colonel."

We better pray for this man. I bet he is finding out who his real friends are about now. Its scary how the Marines were supposedly worried about his “mental health.” That seems to be a real nasty tool to use when you want readers to disregard anything the person says. Scary.

How can a real American Patriot, with DNA oozing with Love and Loyalty for America be court-martialed?!!!!
This is not America and this is not what our forefathers labored for this country to be. God did not show mercy with Sodom and Gomorrah, the Roman Empire, and Babylon. Now, I pray God will make an exception and have divine mercy to spare America from total destruction.

If he is jailed then I expect that milley schmenilly, idi amin austin, and the piece of trash that sits in the WH will join him. Their resignation, effective immediately, should also garner them jail time for all the human misery they have caused in Afghanistan!

What's with all of the "claims" and scare quotes? The author presents no information to suggest that what he is saying is not true. Much of what appears in the Washington Examiner reads like something from HuffPo.

He is starting to sound a little unhinged. For this to happen charges would have to be referred and then a Board of Officers would be convened to review the charges and then if a General Officer concurs he would be referred to a Special or General Court martial. The proceedings would drag on for months or years and he would almost certainly be found not guilty. There is no reason he would be placed in pre trial confinement for a simple violation of Article 88.

Stuart Scheller needs our prayers. His wife just left him, taking the kids with her. He posted a video of himself, in tears, pleading for his wife to return.
The strain may be too much for him to bear. I’m not completely sure if Scheller could be incarcerated. After resigning his commission, Scheller’s legal and financial linkages to the USG are severed for good. I could be wrong on the legal details. Having said that, Scheller may need an intervention.
But the reasons behind his statements that led to this remain valid: accountability of senior military and civilian leadership over the Afghanistan catastrophe. Mr. “buck stops here” Joseph Robinette Biden.

#2, I also found the use of the word, “claims”, to be disturbing. The author is able to fact check his rank easily I would imagine. It is also peppered throughout he article which I find very odd. Sounds like the military is going to try and push him into some kind of psychological corner. I don’t put anything past this administration. Now it appears that every agency is corrupt. My Lord, how did this happen? Then I am reminded that Rush always said that the left never rests, it is always pushing their agenda forward. At this point, I question if we can even fix this. I apologize for the negativity, but I have had a heavy heart these past few days trying to reconcile the betrayal we have witnessed,

Six soldiers were killed while searching for deserter and Taliban sympathizer Bowe Bergdhal, but as far as I can tell, he never spent a day in jail and was ultimately given as a slap on the wrist with a "dishonorable discharge,"
The Marxist cabal has infiltrated our military, and currently has traitorous stooges like Gen Mark "it's not okay to be white" Milley running things. Lt. Col. Scheller had to know he was going up against the deep-state subversives in our military, the top brass, but he was still willing to speak truth and face the consequences. He was willing to sacrifice his pension, his career, and possibly his freedom in order to defend our sovereignty.
I wonder if there are any FBI agents out there who are paying attention.

You know, I was just about to chastise #s 9 & 10, but something stopped me. This whole thing seems so very in-your-face, almost like a 1/6 type of set up. Especially the part where it sounds as if he is threatening violence against the government. The FBI & the CIA have been very intent in setting these scenarios up, lately. I don’t know. It’s hard to withstand the psy-ops, anymore. I hope this Marine is who he represents himself to be. We could use him. I guess we’ll find out.

Stuart Scheller is the bravest Marine of all - at the present time. It is a colossal shame that the the Marines are considering court-martialing someone for bravery.

FTA - "Scheller said he was asked by his commanding officer to be evaluated by mental health specialists on Monday and claimed he complied with the order." He will be drugged and subjected to a mental abuse exercise to take him apart and determine his fate.
This is totally weird. The tone of the WE piece suggests the Scheller has lost his marbles. Remember what happened to Col. Terry Lakin in 2010 who was imprisoned for questioning whether Obie was born in America? Well, here we go again. Meanwhile, Vindie Vindman skates and gets to whistle while he works.
America is still circling the drain but, getting closer to going into the sewer.

There is a copy of a 31 August resignation letter circulating on the web, apparently signed by L/C Scheller. It tenders his resignation from the Corps effective 11 September (how symbolic), and does not ask for a reserve commission. The question then is, if this is true, why would the military even bother with UCMJ actions? I am afraid this story has a little smell to it...

The "former" claim is correctly stated. Submitting a resignation letter does not automatically separate you for military service, whether a PFC or a Lt. Col. Scheller is contemplating jail time because he knew and understood the statutory ramifications for speaking out in the contemptuous manner he did, whether the substance is right or wrong. The UCMJ Article 88, Contempt Toward Officials, is more restrictive than civilian law in many ways but commissioned officers in particular, are expected to understand and abide by the rules, which are very strict relative to speaking contemptuously about a superior. Of course, there is some amount of discretion that his superior officers may use in deciding whether to process his resignation or subject him to a court-martial. A lot of it depends on whether he restricted his criticism to his uniformed superiors or included his civilian leadership., like the NAVSEC, SECDEF, POTUS or Congress. This was established to ensure that the armed forces are subordinate to their civilian leadership. If he was criticizing a superior officer, then a different section of the UCMJ applies, I believe Article 89. By accepting a commission as a military officer, you willingly subject yourself to the UCMJ, whether or not it seems fair or unjust looking at it from a civilian POV.
