Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said Thursday that the House will vote to “enshrine into law reproductive health care for all women across America” following the Supreme Court’s refusal to block a Texas law that prohibits abortion after a heartbeat can be detected.
Pelosi’s comments come after the Supreme Court issued a 5-4 decision just before midnight on Wednesday evening rejecting a challenge to a Texas law that prohibits the abortion of an unborn baby once a heartbeat can be detected. Chief Justice John Roberts joined the Court’s three liberal justices in dissent.
“This ban necessitates codifying Roe v. Wade,”

Want to know who thinks she is president of the U.S.?
Want to know who is pulling the superannuated sock puppets strings?
Want to know who acts as if she is president of the U.S.?
What to know who is letting her get by with all this injustice, and sedition?
The Republican party.

I guess spending the country into oblivion isn’t enough, nor is she interested in the how and why of Afghanistan (including impeachable offenses - like a phone call) - she is more interested in securing the ability to continue to kill fetuses as her #1concern. Vote every single Democrat out in 2022.

This could be an epic struggle. Pelosi will command total abeisance from the House Democrats. Schumer will be under even more pressure to get all 50 Democrat senators on board. Oh yeah, this will be the battlefield on which to wage total war on the senate filibuster. When the smoke clears, we will see where our 238 year old Republic stands.
As a sideshow, the Left will launch a total boycott on all things Texas and pour even more refugees into the state as punishment for daring to believe our country valued its tradition of independent states creating a "laboratory of democracy."

Nanie, don't waste your time. You lost this struggle, you little witch. Are you grateful your mother didn't abort you?

She will bite off more than she can chew. This will go to the SCOTUS and invite a re-examination of the entire Roe V Wade train wreck.

This is what Congress should have had to do all along. Let the b*stards take a stand and go on record. Let’s see who’s really willing to risk their seats over abortion rights. If the House holds true to form, they won’t touch it.

I believe to truly "codify" abortion would require a Constitutional Amendment

There are no such thing as women and women's rights. We can all be women and we can all give birth. Either there are two genders or one. Can't pick and choose based on the political benefits.

She may find it much more of an issue than she thinks when some who've had the cover of the Roe decision where they didn't have to actually vote on something.
Nancy should not be concerned, nor should anyone in CA, NY, NJ, IL as they already have codified Roe into their own state constitutions. Literally, if Roe was overturned tomorrow, the people in those States and others, would not see any difference.
Thus, none of those states representatives need to worry about something that won't affect their actual constituents.
BTW, don't democrats believe in science?

The Supremes did not reverse Roe v Wade. They reminded combatants that the SC was a final court of appeal not the first level of legal 'combat'.

First, what is reproductive about abortion?
Second, how is this a 'women's issue, when just yesterday they were telling us that men get pregnant too?

Our old buddy, Orwell, is in the House. There is absolutely nothing "reproductive" about abortion.
Re: #2 - While the Constitution uses the word Republican to denote an elected representative form of government; it does not mention the Republican Party but it mentions The People ten times. The question I have is why do The People allow this injustice?

If it's really about reproductive health care then it won't have anything to do with abortion i.e. infanticide..
The US desperately needs to split, Pelosi might be the catalyst.
