The Supreme Court of Virginia ruled Thursday that the state can take down a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee that has towered over the state's capital for more than a century but became widely seen as a symbol of racial injustice. The court's ruling shot down two lawsuits filed by Virginia residents who attempted to block removal of the 21-foot bronze equestrian sculpture on Monument Avenue in Richmond that shows Lee in military attire atop a 40-foot pedestal. It's removal will mark the 64th to be toppled since the George Floyd protests began in May 2020.

Keep doing this crap. Its just wundow dressing to hide what the Democrats are doing to everyone not in their 'Elite'. Your descendants will curse you with every breath!!

Can just anyone topple a statue? Does it have to be a particular person? Maybe only a particular statue. Who gets to knock it over. What do they do with it after they take it down? Who gets to keep it. Can I topple a statue somewhere that I don't like?/s This is some of the dumbest behavior on the planet.

Move it to Arlington Nat Cemetery..with a plaque explaining WHY it is there. Then take that patch of ground back from the state who failed to uphold the covenants of the contract under which it was conveyed. Put up a similar sized cross/crucifix in memorial of the millions of black/brown people killed by black/brown people, and then watch the SAME groups organize against that. Nat Geo has run many photos of that monument..but...they had to add a postscript to the pictures, seems they had to Photoshop out dozens of F-Words in order to not "Offend" their readers, they USED to have strict rules about photoshop/altered/editied images, would not run them...
