The father of a US Marine who was killed in the Kabul airport attack last week said he challenged President Joe Biden to "learn the stories" of the victims at the ceremony where the remains of service members were returned to the US. (Snip) Schmitz said that Biden spoke of losing his son, Beau Biden, an Iraq veteran, to cancer, six years ago. But Schmitz said he wanted to talk about Jared instead, and he and his wife took out a photo of their son to show the president. "I said, 'Don't you ever forget that name. Don't you ever

I suspect that it would have been very useful for Biden to have been regularly kicked in the teeth throughout his career.

Throughout his entire life. I contend he has always been an arrogant jerk.

Parents of those marines should have refused to meet with Biden. He’s never had a sympathetic bone in his body and only cares about lining his and his families’ pockets with as much money as he can. Also, why the hell is he still wearing a mask especially for that solemn occasion? He’s standing next to his wife with whom he shares a home, I assume, so why the mask? He’s hiding but we know it’s you Joe.

I think Biden feels a degree of guilt in the death of his first wife and children and perhaps believes Beau’s death was a further punishment from God. He brings it up constantly, like a talisman that will protect him from the wrath of those who blame him for the debacle in Afghanistan. He is not only senile and cognitively impaired, he is cowardly, venal, and cruel.

If that was my dead son/daughter/spouse, I would have refused to attend the ceremony at Dover. It was all for show - and a very poor showing at that by *resident Biden and the missus. Did every parent, spouse, etc of a fallen service member have an opportunity to attend over the past twenty years?

Here's the difference between Joe Biden's son Beau and the sons and daughters who returned in boxes to Dover this week: Joe's son was a civilian who was allowed to wage war against his enemy, cancer. He lost that battle, but he was allowed to fight it. The physicians in whom he placed his trust did not betray him. The parents of these soldiers lost their children to an enemy they were never allowed to fight, at the direction of a commander who betrayed them. Big difference. Big, big difference. All that aside, no one's grief trumps another's grief--ever. Grief is personal, profound, and every loss impossible to rank against another. Perhaps when the beheadings begin, our addled Commander in Depends will have the self control to muzzle his own self-pity.

The way he keeps bringing up Beau sickens me. He always brings him up as a sort of shield to try to deflect blame and anger levelled against him and try to get people to feel sympathy for him. It's a low brow move from a low brow guy and I hope he suffers endlessly.

Joe has always used his personal tragedies for political gain. Even going so far as to claim the truck driver who hit his first wife "drank his lunch" which was, surprise, a complete lie.

Biden is like a broken record - dragging up Beau's name every chance he gets to avoid discussing the disasters of his own making.
