Some School Board Members Resigning Amid
Hostile Meetings

Original Article

A Nevada school board member said he had thoughts of suicide before stepping down amid threats and harassment. In Virginia, a board member resigned over what she saw as politics driving decisions on masks. The vitriol at board meetings in Wisconsin had one member fearing he would find his tires slashed. School board members are largely unpaid volunteers, traditionally former educators and parents who step forward to shape school policy, choose a superintendent and review the budget. But a growing number are resigning or questioning their willingness to serve as meetings have devolved into shouting contests between deeply political constituencies

Comments:

Anyone who doesn't want kids to wear a bag over their faces is ''politicizing'' the issue and causing division. If only liberals could control everything without dissent - like in North Korea - everyone would be happy.

Remember when Obama told people to get in our faces? What comes around, goes around. When you are pushing commie crap like CRT, you SHOULD be afraid. You all know deep down that it is wrong, against our American values, and that you are responsible for the divisiveness. That fear you feel is what conscience you may have telling you that you are dead wrong.

Far too many of these "unpaid volunteers" and elected officials in general have forgotten that their job is to represent their constituencies, not be their master. The these masking tyrants can't stand the heat, they need to resign. Either that, are be thrown out on their behinds.

If only the liberals could get everything without push back and dissent it would be a wonderful world for their take over. Make the left miserable and keep them miserable. Stand up and stop these miserable rats. When it's my child then I have a say in their lives not some obese, tattooed, activist, mad female teacher or school board member. They can make the rules but I don't have to comply.

The AP trying to make board members sound like long-suffering, unpaid volunteers with only the best interest of the students in mind. Actually, a surprising number of school boards are comprised of family members of school employees…foxes guarding the hen house and inviting more foxes to the feast. The students are about the last thing they are concerned about.

Maybe these Board Members should ask themselves WHY the vitriol. When you try to force masks on kids and try to teach white kids they are at fault for the failings of Negro's, and that they have a white preference that does not exist, and you teach Communism and Socialism and Kindergarten Trans sexual classes, parent have had enough. These people are college educated socialists and brain washed Commies and they are trying to conscript our kids into their agenda.

This is happening everywhere. A non profit I work for, for 16 years, wants us to be the covid police now for events, testing people before they attend an event and enforcing the masks and scanning their "vac passports". This is SF, but I am going to have to quit. I refuse to be a part of this insanity. " Show me your papers" Hitler/China style. This is getting worse, not better.

If you read the article it makes it seem like these poor embattled school board members are defending their reasonable rulings against crazy ignorant parents. And yet ... I have yet to read of a school board in trouble because their choices for the students are too traditional and conservative. What do all these angry school board meetings have in common? Mask dictates, CRT, trans rights, etc.

“There is starting to be an inherent distrust for school boards, that there’s some notion that we are out to indoctrinate children or to undermine parents or things like that, when we are on the same team,” said Pratt, who has been on the board six years. “We are here to help children.” To paraphrase President Reagan, "I'm from the school board and I'm here to help."

People get on school boards because they actually think they can make a difference. They find out that they have to kowtow to the State School Board who kowtow to the National Board of Education. We need to dissolve the National Board of Education. It is a Communist Board that is a total waste of time and money.

There would be no hostile meetings if government-run schools taught reading, writing and arithmetic ... an possibly considered American History as appropriate. The first seven months of Joe Biden’s presidency have been fraught with crises. First it was the coronavirus pandemic and the vaccine rollout. Then it was the border crisis. Then it was the economy. And now Afghanistan, where the Taliban are now reportedly hanging people by the neck from U.S.-supplied Blackhawk helicopters, and the U.S. withdrawal has left behind hundreds of Americans and perhaps thousands of Green Card holders in what now amounts to the largest hostage crisis in American history. The administration is stumbling from one disaster to the next, with no end in sight and public opinion plummeting

MADRID — Pope Francis has criticized the West's recent involvement in Afghanistan as an outsider's attempt to impose democracy — although he did it by citing Russia's Vladimir Putin while thinking he was quoting Germany's Angela Merkel. Asked during a radio interview aired Wednesday about the new political map taking shape in Afghanistan after the United States and its allies withdrew from the Taliban-controlled country after 20 years of war, the pope said he would answer with a quote that he attributed to the German chancellor, whom he described as “one of the world's greatest political figures.” “It’s necessary to

If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized. As to the first statement, there are plenty of examples of police officers firing multiple shots at a suspected threat.
