Jim Banks (R-IN) stated that the drone strike against ISIS-K isn’t going to stop further attacks and warned that ISIS-K will end up in possession of U.S. military equipment and use it in “a much more lethal and dangerous way than the Taliban would ever use it.” Bank stated, “We would be naïve to believe that this one drone strike on an ISIS planner — which, by the way, was successful, and I’m glad he was killed — is going to stop more attacks like what we saw this week.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Monday that it was not the Biden administration’s intention to arm the Taliban with billions of dollars in military equipment originally given to the Afghan government but claimed that the United States is taking steps to “reduce the amount of equipment” in the Taliban’s possession before completing the troop withdrawal at the end of the month.
Psaki, fielding questions at Monday’s White House press briefing, declined to “get into details” of how specifically U.S. forces are carrying out the equipment destruction or recovery but assured reporters “that is part of their effort.”

As Breitbart News reported, the Islamic State – Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) claimed responsibility for two suicide bombings in Kabul that killed 10 U.S. Marines, one U.S. Navy medic, and another two service members, along with at least 90 others, and has left at least 150 wounded.
Desperate Afghans continued to gather in huge crowds outside Kabul’s international airport Friday, undeterred by twin suicide attacks that left at least 100 people dead a day before, including 13 American troops.

I have seen enough videos and read about enough officer-civilian interactions to know that the act of subduing a lethal threat requires several rounds.
If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized.
