Ex-Navy SEAL who killed bin Laden Robert O'Neill discussed terrorism in the Middle East and described the Marines being killed in Kabul as ‘a sad day’ during an appearance on "Cavuto: Coast to Coast," Thursday. ROBERT O’NEILL: I learned a long time ago, long before the bin Laden raid - when we were in combat with these same groups of people - one of my jobs I had after we assaulted the target was called a battlefield interrogator, where we caught these weaklings who they really are and interrogated them.

Comments:

There are no words to express the sadness of this tragedy! Biden, you have failed our heroes, our US Troops, the United States, and our friends around the world! Your approval rating is something you need to seriously look at! Step aside with the idiots that surround you!

Forgive me, but there's something about the way Fox continues to exalt the guy "who killed bin Laden" as some sort of celebrity. Wasn't the story that when obama asked the team who killed him they replied, "We all did!"? He was assigned a mission and he executed - just like hundreds (thousands?) of his fellow SEALs and Special Forces brethren. The cult of personality is everywhere these days.

Re #1 - I kind of agree. I remember the days when no one ever heard of a Navy SEAL by name, etc and now they're everywhere and experts on everything. Like the young Marine Joey Jones who was a bomb technician and now comments on everything. Richard Marcinko must be aghast.

The United States launched an airstrike following a suicide bombing at Kabul airport earlier this week. The target of the drone strike, believed to have been killed with no known civilian causalities, was an ISIS-K fighter believed to be involved in the planning future attacks, according to two U.S. defense officials. The US military says it has killed an ISIS-K planner in the Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan. According to the US officials, the target was planning to attack US officials in Kabul airport. A UAV took off from an unnamed base in the Middle East and reportedly hit the target while he was in a car with another associate.

Inside the fortified airport walls, the U.S. flag was lowered to half-staff as the final evacuations carried on under heavy security as military officials warned that attackers were plotting further destruction.

Convicted pedophiles have been living in city homeless shelters near elementary schools in a clear violation of state law — and bureaucrats in Albany and New York are frantically trying to duck the blame by pointing fingers at each other. A frightening state Senate report that will be made public on Monday shocked officials into freezing the release of all parole-eligible perverts from prison until authorities can fix a system that allowed child predators to reside within 1,000 feet of schools.

President Biden has left Americans in Afghanistan beholden to the masterminds of the September 11, 2001, terror attacks while his spokeswoman is arguing semantics about terminology, "Fox & Friends" host Pete Hegseth said on Monday. Hegseth and "Fox News Primetime" host Jesse Watters noted White House press secretary Jen Psaki debated Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy's use of the word "stranded" to describe Americans unable to escape Afghanistan due to Taliban checkpoints. Psaki claimed "stranded" is an "irresponsible" term, and that Biden is "committed to bringing Americans who want to come home home."

WASHINGTON — It’s called the loneliest job in the world for a reason. Surrounded by everything a superpower can offer and watched by all, President Joe Biden wore the weight of a lonely man as he came to grips in recent days with the deadly end of the American effort in Afghanistan and tried to keep the focus on what, to him, is the bottom line. (Snip) Biden found himself in a real-time crisis that overrides the platitudes he offered when running for the office and in the early months of his presidency. “America is back," he likes to say.

A nation horrified by its first surrender in its nearly 250-year history was further humiliated when Biden refused to go to Dover Air Force Base to pay his respects to the 13 Marines who arrived by casket. (snip) As commander-in-chief, Biden is responsible for those deaths. His poor judgment killed those Marines. He owed it to them to own up to this. He owed it to the families to share their grief. And yes, out of 13 families, I expect someone could make a scene. I expect someone would lash out at him. I expect that someone would make Biden feel very, very bad. But that is part of the job.

ere’s the latest word from the most transparent administration ever: Simple question: Why? At this point, the Pentagon is best known for publicly downplaying the threat the Taliban posed for taking over all of Afghanistan, and for greenlighting closing its largest operational base in Central Asia. It’s still purging competent minds but retaining and encouraging its woke drones. Gen. Mark Milley, the 21st-century version of Gen. Custer, still has a job. Biden has lied, or remains unaware, about the fact that our allies are livid at him and questioning whether working with the United States is in their interests anymore.

One of the Marine Corps principles of leadership is to accept responsibility for your actions. (snip) If you think anyone will be held to account over this utter Afghan debacle, consider this: In 1999, Amendment #388 to the Defense appropriations bill passed the U.S. Senate (described on page S5891 of the Congressional Record — Senate for May 25, 1999). The purpose of this amendment was to posthumously restore the rank and promote both Admiral Husband Kimmel and General Walter Short, the top Navy and Army Commanders at Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.
