Fox News host Steve Hilton blasted teachers’ unions on “The Next Revolution,” saying parents have been stripped of their power when it comes to determining what is best for their children. This being the very thing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis endeavored to avoid in signing an executive order banning school mask mandates — some districts are trying to skirt the order by requiring masks, but allowing parents to navigate the red tape to opt-out.“This week, as parents across the country protest cruel, scientifically illiterate mask mandates for kids, [President] Biden’s hapless education secretary Miguel Cardona threatens school closures in response, and Biden himself weighed in against kids, against parents, and

It is just this simple.
Public Schools are child abuse.
Every one of them is abusive; including the one your children or grandchildren attend. Including the one, you work at. Including the one, you pay taxes to support.
The problem is bigger than CRT or any discreet aspect of the curriculum. The issue is the underlying educational philosophy is wrong. You cannot reform such a system. You can only replace it.
Public schools are child abuse.

Parents are those who elected (and re-elect) these school boards. The rebels are the exceptions proving the rule...parents badly want to relegate their children to government schools. It wasn't the teachers unions who surrendered to this totalitarianism. Wasn't long ago, before the age of educators, that teachers did a remarkable job with resources much less than whined about as inadequate today.

Teaching is a hard job. The teachers unions have gotten used to staying home, and dumping off industry lesson plans for students to pick up. It's a lot more pleasant than standing on your feet all day teaching a room full of kids from everywhere that are texting on their cellphones, and videoing the teacher. The left has turned the schools into a total slop trough nobody should have to attend.

A paragraph from my booklet I have handed to Dads as a Royal Ranger Commander: "..., assess the levels of management you’ve placed between yourself and your son (or daughter). And, yes, you are responsible for these levels, also; you put them there. Who disciples, yes, disciples, recruits, marshals the bulk of your son’s daytime? You approved it, do you still? Who educates your son the most? You approved it, do you still? Who disciplines your son the most? The answer to each question should be YOU! Surrogates - the hired - will never care for your son as good as you. And, yes, you are responsible. " America is responsible for Americans. Royal Ranger commanders train from a biblical perspective to our Rangers (AG scouts). Let's go back to a Philippians 4:8 educational system; "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think (educate) on these things."

Someone please introduce legislation to disband AFSCME. That is the heart of the Deep State's ladder to success and control.

I disagree. Parents have only themselves to blame. Leaving aside the lack of parents (TWO), it is parents who have abdicated their responsibilities more than teachers who have stolen the minds of children. If you leave me in charge, I am going to do what I want - and that is exactly what teachers have done. Had parents kept watching what was happening to their kids, we wouldn't be in this mess. Getting rid of teacher unions won't fix the problem but re-establishing two-parent HOMES will.

MAGA Governors, and hopefully the next MAGA POTUS (whether Trump, DeSantis, or whoever) must treat the teachers unions the way President Reagan treated PATCO. If they try to shut down the public schools, so be it.

I was making that same statement twenty five years ago when I was running for a school board and attempting to make the people of a small town in Pennsylvania see how the union and the administration were raping the taxpayers with huge salaries and bonuses being paid out to substandard teachers. I was a pariah of course and learned early how elections are rigged. Democrats, teachers unions, teachers and school administrations all live in the same snake pit and feed off each other.

Even FDR recognized that government unions were a bad idea.
But JFK lost his mind and created them.
What a terrible president.

Instead of tilting at the immovable Teachers Union windmills, get your kids out of government schools. Up against the monolithic power of the State, guerilla tactics are proven effective.

14 is correct. My children are long out of their school years but if they were that age today I would take a 2nd mortgage on my house or sell my soul to get them into our local Christian school or hire a private tutor to educate them in the things I couldn’t home school them in. Your children are our future and we were put on this earth to raise them properly.

Keep any children you care about out of government schools, out of the clutches of these extremist union teachers. Insist that any private school NOT hire any union teachers.

the real story is the one that isn't mentioned" that most of the "teachers" are merely "teacher assistants" who have no degrees, etc and are not qualified to be in the "protected" status as the teachers and, really, have no business being in the classroom as a member of the teaching staff.
anyone who has been in the classroom and is / was able to keep an open mind can see the fault of the teaching systems, today. because, today, "teachers" are mostly baby-sitters for some very disturbed children who are forced onto the school systems because of communist activists who have taken over many local school boards, this causes serious chaos in the classroom, making "teaching" almost an impossibility and it all begins at the "elementary" levels K-8.
once again, the "minority" numbers of any species does not dictate to the "majority", under any circumstances.

In Oregon, high school students no longer have to pass a proficiency exam. I'm sure the teacher's union is thrilled. Now no one can accuse them of poor teaching.
