Dominion Voting Systems sued Newsmax, One America News and the founder of Overstock.com on Tuesday each for $1.6 billion in damages over accusations they defamed the company by claiming it helped rig the 2020 election against former President Trump.Dominion, one of the nation's largest voting companies, has cited lost profits and other costs in demanding $1.6 billion from Newsmax Media Inc., Herring Networks Inc.'s One America News Network and Overstock.com founder Patrick Byrne. The firm claimed the news networks defamed them by airing stories that their vote-counting machines switched their votes from Trump to Biden.

Does this mean that when they go to trial Dominion will have to produce the information that they have so far hidden?

It appears that Dominion is circling the drain now. Filing these suits in an attempt to survive, will only make the end more and more catastrophic for them.

Good. Because now they have to prove it wasn't true. Everyone and their cat can be deposed.

Apparently they are a private company, so they don't have to disclose their business results. I wonder how they are doing? Hopefully circling the drain like the t#rds they are...

The lawsuits are irrelevant. Everyone now knows what Dominion is. Their reputation is gone, and it won't ever come back. Want to steal an election? Hire Dominion to provide the voting machines. Anyone running real legitimate elections will never use Dominion.
Dominion doesn't like what people are saying. Tough. Its too late for them now.

Dominion is hoping to settle before going to trial. They’re hoping Newsmax and One America News will cave. I really hope they don’t because the discovery process would reveal the snakes in the Dominion pit.

A strategic lawsuit against public participation (SLAPP), SLAPP suit, or intimidation lawsuit is intended to censor, intimidate, and silence critics by burdening them with the cost of a legal defense until they abandon their criticism or opposition.

Dominion curries fame-then claim they're private. They clam up and pull out their fig leaves.
Dominion makes a fortune from gov't entities, but deny all responsibility to the tax payers
footing the bills...all of them.
Arrogant nonsense w/ big dollar signs.

We all seem to be relying on a fair and just judicial system. I am not quite that optimistic. When have things ever gone right for us in the court system? I agree with all the comments from my friends here, but let’s be real. The courts are stacked against us. Lady justice threw her blindfold away and she seems to put her finger far too often on the left side which puts into question a fair and honest judiciary. What this comes down to is money. Is Dominion more able to afford to drag this out as long as they can? You know every left wing organization will be funneling money into their legal fund. I used to have faith in the courts, but now, it’s a crap shoot depending on the judge you get. Even the Supreme Court worries about intimidation when making decisions. Litigation, especially of this type, is now politically charged and the left will pay any price and bear any burden to make sure they are successful.
This brings me to another thought. When all the revelations began coming out regarding Dominion’s machines, why didn’t someone try and flip a Dominion executive in the know by offering immunity if they revealed what they know. Furthermore, why didn’t the powers that be try and flip one or two of those election workers in Georgia that they had captured on video sending the ballots through the tabulators again and again? Isn’t that a valid law enforcement tactic, offering immunity for information? I get it. The FBI didn’t want the info. Anyway, who would you be more afraid of, democrats who have zero regard for the law and the FBI in their back pocket or Republicans who won’t even bother asking the question?

I have zero confidence in the legal system. The dictate has been made and any outfit that reports the truth about the election has to be shut down. Our rulers have complete control over all branches of our government and almost all of our society. The few that are not controlled like these media outfits will be destroyed as they are trying to do to President Trump.

Apparently Dominion believes that all of the doctored machines have been hidden. I'm sure the FBI helped them with the hiding since that seems to be a specialty of theirs.
