A common term we use to describe certain folks is ‘Cafeteria Catholics,’ with the most easily identifiable being politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and Andrew Cuomo. For issues with which they agree, they hold up Catholic beliefs and cite doctrine to support their political points of view, while simultaneously dismissing the Church’s philosophy regarding subjects with which they disagree. Using government resources to fund any program for the less fortunate and allowing illegal immigrants to pour across our border is what Jesus would have wanted us to do, they tell us. Meanwhile, murdering babies in their mothers’ wombs and

Monthly illegal immigration to the United States reached the highest level last month since the year 2000, according to Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX).
On Monday, Roy posted online a breakdown of preliminary illegal immigration totals from July where he states that last month hit the highest levels since 2000 with more than 205,000 border crossers encountered by federal immigration officials and 37,400 known got-aways, that is, illegal aliens who successfully crossed the U.S.-Mexico border.

Ian Millhiser, a senior correspondent for the left-wing website Vox and senior policy analyst for Center for American Progress, is calling on Congress to punish unvaccinated Americans by increasing the income tax rate for unvaccinated individuals to 99 percent — a move which would disproportionately target black and Hispanic Americans, given their lower vaccination rates.
“Congress should increase the income tax rate on taxpayers who are unvaccinated, and who have no legitimate religious or medical reason to be unvaccinated, to 99 percent,” Millhiser suggested in a Thursday social media post to tens of thousands of his followers.

Norway have been fined 1,500 euros (£1,295) for wearing shorts instead of bikini bottoms at the European Beach Handball Championships. The European Handball Federation (EHF) said it had imposed the fine because of a case of "improper clothing". Norway's players wore shorts instead of bikini bottoms during a bronze medal match against Spain in Varna, Bulgaria. Norway's Handball Federation (NHF) had already stated it would pay if their players were fined. An EHF statement said a disciplinary commission had imposed a fine of "150 euros per player, for a total of 1,500 euros". CORRECTIONS*

Governments should exclude parents who oppose the hormonal and surgical transformation of their children, according to an article published in the establishment Journal of Medical Ethics.
When parents reject their childrens’ claim to be transgender, “parents should lose veto power over most transition-related paediatric care,” wrote author Maura Priest, a candidate professor at Arizona State University. Trained medical scientists should defer to the childrens’ wishes once they decide that the children are “informed and competent”

Plop Plop, Whiz Whiz The Rolling Stones song “Shattered” is about all the things Mick Jagger and Keith Richards didn’t like about New York City: drug dealers, bedbugs, and people dressed in plastic bags directing traffic. Some kind of fashion. That was nothing. What’s a Metaphor As if a rash of subway slashings aren’t enough, straphanger struggles took a nasty turn when a homeless man in a subway station decided to relieve himself in an unsuspecting janitor’s bucket–in front of anyone that happened to be passing by. Fortunately for the passersby, the New York subway still has a mask mandate. CORRECTION*

During a Thursday interview on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) revealed that President Joe Biden refused to issue the permits this year for the Mount Rushmore Fourth of July celebration. Noem said the celebration was brought back by President Donald Trump after President Barack Obama took it away for environmental concerns, and now Biden is canceling it again without providing an explanation. “[W]e had the fireworks at Mount Rushmore for years,” Noem outlined. Over the last week, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats have blocked a bill to ban taxpayer-funding of abortions 20 times. Each day over the last week, multiple pro-life Republican House members have asked the House for unanimous consent to bring the pro-life bill to the floor for a vote. Each time, Democrats have refused.
On Monday, Rep. Stephanie Bice (R-OK), Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA), Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-PA), and Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-MI) asked for unanimous consent to get a floor vote on H.R. 18, The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.

The mainstream media, global elitists, and prominent Democrat politicians have blood on their hands for the avoidable deaths of countless Americans. It’s hard to look at the effects of the disastrous policies from the past year and a half and conclude otherwise. In their mutually beneficial efforts to oust Donald Trump from office and foist a neo-feudal system upon the American middle class, an abundance of science was ignored in favor of advancing a preferred authoritarian agenda. How much damage was wrought will likely never be fully known or quantified, although there are ways to put some figures into perspective.

On Tuesday, Kurt Schlichter tweeted a photo of a classroom scene headlined “CRT in one perfect photo.” It promptly disappeared, so he tweeted again, under the headline “she’s just teaching about slavery,” and that too promptly vanished. The rapid takedowns are puzzling, given the photo’s content. Consider the subjects on the left side of the board, starting at the top.
Diversity is a reality of the human condition but in critical race theory (CRT) it is code for proportionality. Under the proportionality doctrine, everything in society must represent the racial and ethnic proportions of the population.

Update (2000ET): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday that it will convene an "emergency meeting" of its advisers on June 18th to discuss rare but higher-than-expected reports of heart inflammation following doses of the mRNA-based Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.
The new details about myocarditis and pericarditis emerged first in presentations to a panel of independent advisers for the Food and Drug Administration, who are meeting Thursday to discuss how the regulator should approach emergency use authorization for using COVID-19 vaccines in younger children.
