Suspect, 16, who 'shot and injured
Marine' in Times Square is charged with
attempted murder after turning himself in

The teen who allegedly shot and injured a Marine in Times Square has turned himself over to the NYPD while accompanied by his mom and has been charged with attempted murder, it has been reported. Avon Darden, 16, handed himself over to cops at the Midtown South Precinct station house on Wednesday a whopping ten days after the shooting, the New York Daily News reported. Samuel Poulin, 21, was hit in the back by a ricocheting bullet as he walked with his family near the Marriott Hotel on W. 45th St. around 5:15 p.m. on June 27. The young Marine was hospitalized after the shooting

Comments:

Instead of winning a ride on the end of the rope, this individual is being charged as a minor in this latest case, despite having three prior felony arrests to his credit, including one for gun possession. Spike Lee says bLACK people are oppressed, and hunted down on the streets, but he fails to mention that it's bLACK people doing the shooting (and occasionally harming the despised WHITE people too).

Why did Avon start shooting wildly into a crowd? Something of grave importance? Of course not; just turning violent over an ongoing ghetto spat, as the enabled ones do in New America. FTA: "Cops told the New York Post that the shooting was prompted after rival breakdancers argued the night before when Darden had allegedly walked in front of a performer. Darden allegedly returned the next day and argued with the other performer for a second time before he allegedly whipped out the gun and opened fire, the New York Post reported."

What is wrong with NYC? If only they would pass some common sense breakdancing regulations. Breakdancers should be force to register with the police and provide evidence of adequate training. Guns don't kill people. Breakdancing kills people.

As I understand NY criminal law, a person cannot be convicted of attempted murder unless the State can prove that he intended to kill the Marine. the Marine was hit with a ricocheted bullet, so it wil be impossible to convict on the charge. Therefore, I believe the DA was showboating with the attempted murder charge.
