Why it’s wrong – and profoundly damaging –
to make us all agree that someone is
whatever gender they say they are: Helen

lobby is harming children, women – and
trans people themselves

Once, that would have been a statement of the obvious. Today, such a belief could get you fired. Now, a forensic book by a senior writer at The Economist argues the gender self-identification lobby is harming children, women – and trans people themselves. Gender self-identification is often described as this generation’s civil rights battle. But for a man to declare ‘I am a woman’, and for everyone to be compelled to agree, is not, as with genuine civil rights movements, about extending privileges unjustly hoarded by a favoured group to a marginalised one.

A Must Read. The trans movement is not benign. Vast segments of society are going to be ripped to shreds.

Facts matter. The fact is that each of has a 38th chromosome from each parent. These chromosomes are labeled X and Y. The chromosome from your mother is always X. The chromosome from your father is either X or Y. If your father's chromosome is X, you are female. If your father's chromosome is Y, you are male. This dimorphism is present in every cell in your body. The difference shows up in both your exterior and interior structure. Women have a uterus, two ovaries, and the ability to bear children. Males have a penis, testes, and the ability to father children.
There is no known method to alter the 38th chromosome pair in every cell in one's body. You are born male or female and you have no say in the matter.
Many individuals resent very highly being born either male or female. They have an easy choice: suicide. That will solve their problem. Sorry to be harsh, but that is all we can do.
The dimorphism affects almost all chordates, and has been present for 250,000,000 years.
Don't like it? You can die.
Those are the rules for the only game in town.

Hey, I think these pronoun people are onto something so I'm picking my own personal prounouns, which are no longer he/his/himself but trump/trumps/trumpself. I might even "self-identify" as Donald Trump and insist everyone call me "President." If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.

Someone please tell me, how did such a tiny segment of the population become so intensely powerful??
These people are mentally ill for Pete's sake. Let's call them what they are.
This group is the most successful suicide population. They already cried out for help in their childhood, society pushed them into transgendered identity, rather than psychiatric treatment, and now they have no options left. So they really mean to kill themselves.
Why, why, why do we have to agree and fall in line with their psychosis?
STOP !
AND another thing. Homosexuals actively recruit young people, because young people often have a very pliable sense of sexual identity and can be influenced easily. I was small for my age, and some guy got ahold of me in a freezer where I worked. I reported him. Turned out he was famous for that behavior.

I've met Trans people but have never run into one of these militant dipwads that insist on certain and sometimes made up pronouns. If I do, my choice will be Y'all. Y'all is gender fluid and can be used both singular and plural. Y'all is all the coddling Y'all will get from me.

I self-identify as bored to tears with these demi-psychopathic self-indulgent self-deceivers.

Do not ask me to participate in your mental charade because I am not going down that wormhole. He, she, it has worked nicely for a very long time. If you can't deal with it then just leave me the hell alone.

I refuse to willingly participate in the insanity of the letters. People who can't procreate if they are true to themselves don't get to tell those of US who obey God's command to be fruitful and multiply what to do. It may come as a surprise to many of them, but God is still on the throne. They can live in fantasy land all they want; they can't make the rest of US join them. Insane perverts.

Self-identification can be very enjoyable.
Today - - I self-identify as a jar of orange marmalade. Last week - - I self-identified as a handball court. I can't wait to find out how I self-identify after the holiday weekend is over!
Try it - - it's fun!

Going along with crazy people doesn't help them find their way back to hard, unyielding reality.
"Let's pretend" is a fine game to play with a four year old child. Fake tea parties, are great for little kids....who actually grasp that it's a game, and not real.
Not good for adults.

Do try to get When Harry Became Sally by Ryan Anderson. Despite the rather breezy association the title evokes, this is a dead serious cautionary tale with a lot of factual information. There are just two sexes, one of which set at conception. There is no such thing as “gender assignment”. The author does write of “gender dysphoria”, a mental condition that should be treated by psychologists, not with hormones and mutilating irreversible surgeries.. He also includes stories of incredible disappointment with the results when the same torment the person felt before “transitioning” is still there, often worse. The suicide rate is high. A very important read...

Thanks for posting. This author has taken as stand. Hooray! It is the activists that are making the trouble. They distort the language and influence people to doubt common sense. The UK seems to have a little better handle on the damage that comes with 'medical transitioning' kids. The NHS does have some sort of centralized medical data collection - tho' not very good - which has detected some of this mess. And they have only a few 'gender clinics' - the US now has over 300! If you can look up Stephanie Davies-Arai please do so, she is a children's advocate in the UK. Benjamin Boyce interviewed her on a You Tub. She noted that the BBC and respected film makers ran 4 specials on 'transgender' kids in one year - it was all propaganda. That year, all of a sudden-referrals to gender clinics jumped sky high. She objects to the term transgender child - rather there are confused gender dysphoric children - most of whom will grow out of that confusion after puberty. She also wrote a legal brief in support of a plaintiff, Kiera Bell against Tavistock 'gender' clinic. Bell contended that she had been too young to give consent for the dangerous medical transitioning that Tavistock uses SOP. That was in the summer of 2020, we did not hear about it here in the US - the clinic lost - the judges ruled that there was too little evidence to expect anyone to give consent - let alone a teenager - for the kind of cross sex hormone treatments & surgery involved.
