Failure of ‘For the People Act’ shows
why Senate filibuster’s vital

Original Article

Three cheers for the Senate filibuster rule, which requires 60 votes to move a bill forward. Were it not for that, Democrats might’ve succeeded in ramming through a sweeping bid to federalize nearly all national election rules — mostly to benefit themselves. Only 50 senators, none Republican, voted last week to advance the misnamed, 900-page “For the People Act” — 10 votes short of the requirement. The House had already passed it, again with not one Republican vote.

When a bill is so bad that even Collins and Romney won't vote for it It's really bad. Democrats bought Manchin cheap.

Democrats must have this legislation as it is critical to the party's survival. There is no way they can win an honest election again so they must control all of it from beginning to end. No ID, no restrictions and no insurrection when the cheating is caught and protested. Once Biden is gone they will need some other empty shell to push into the Oval Office and it will be harder to do next time around.

The Senate is like a saucer in which you pour hot tea to cool it a little. The system (when it functions honestly) has been deliberately designed that way. When Democrats are in the minority they enjoy the protection of the filibuster. Why then do they not value it too? The answer is crushingly obvious. Only one of the two parties craves absolute power with no opposition. It is the Socialist Leninist Party of America. Why people who do actually vote for them don't understand this remains an enigma.

This Article is well written, inciteful, and 100% correct. The Democrats' intent in the "For the People Act" is to ensure That Democrats forever win all future federal elections starting immediately after its passage, and with all deliberate speed to win as many state and local elections as legally or illegally possible. It's extreme to the core and it proves that the current Democrat party is hell-bent to take (and retain) control over the country - voters be damned! It's intent is a recipe to remove federal, state and local governments by and for the people. Republicans are trying to restore free and fair elections at every level, but Democrats are fighting hard to quash all such efforts. This is why Democrats are doing all they can to kill the Republican vote audits, and why the DOJ is suing the State of Georgia to weaken its statutes that specify (entirely reasonable) voting procedures.

The Democrats have developed the art of giving wonder sounding names and descriptions to deplorable bills. Just because they call a steaming pile of ,,, a bed of roses, does not make it so. The “For the People Act” is a prime example.

President Joe Biden has a problem, and her name is Kamala Harris. The vice president has become a comic figure in today’s Washington—a politician given to missteps and unforced errors who inspires neither loyalty nor trust within her inner circle. She might have been Biden’s safest pick for running mate. But now she’s a liability for both the president and the Democratic Party. It’s not just that Harris is unpopular. Her unique combination of falsity and incompetence generates negative press and endangers her dreams of succeeding Biden. For Harris, the month of June has been an extended replay of highlights from Veep, the HBO comedy starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Vice President Mike Pence may be in the doghouse with conservatives but no one can say there were stories that he was a bad boss or that his office was chaotic, mismanaged, or incompetent. Things are different with Kamala Harris. According to an article in Politico, Harris’s office sounds like the real-life version of Veep, the HBO political satire that focused on the stupid, self-centered, and vicious Selina Meyer, a Vice President whose office was filled with slavish gatekeepers and self-centered staff, all of whom were incompetent. The story rings true. What's more interesting is contemplating why Democrats are going after Harris.
