Georgia's secretary of state is poised to remove more than 100,000 "outdated" names from the state's voter registration rolls unless those on the list take immediate action.Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger released the full list of people who could be affected by the registration update on Friday."Making sure Georgia's voter rolls are up to date is key to ensuring the integrity of our elections," the Republican said in a statement. "There is no legitimate reason to keep ineligible voters on the rolls."Some critics, such as Gerald Griggs with the Atlanta NAACP, described the move as a voter purge. Griggs said thousands of voters were improperly removed from the 2019 list.

Just tell these idiots who complain that there is plenty of time for people to re-register. As far as I am concerned, they should just purge everyone and start over from scratch!

Someone should remove Raffensperger's name from voting records and see to it that his name is registered on another record, a record that stays with him for the rest of his life! Put this guy in prison where he belongs!!!

My Mother died two years ago. I've tried to get her removed but could find no method supported by the state to accomplish that task. I want to examine this list to see if her name is on it. She hadn't voted in at least the 5 years before her death. She was lacking the mental capacity to do so.

No. 7, any dead people or people who have moved out of state who "voted" in the last election would not be outdated registration. If they removed all of all of them, it would probably be at least twice as many.

All voter roles should be purged after EVERY federal election. It is not a hardship to re-register to vote every two years, except to those that use bogus lifetime registrations to vote in election after election.

The voter rolls are such a mess, everyone should have to re-register with a thumbprint. They make it impossible to take deceased people off the register. There were people who voted in the last election with the IQ of a turnip. One person dragged everybody with a pulse to vote.

Disney has been accused of pricing out loyal customers by targeting affluent families with $800 hotel rooms and $100 sandwiches at its theme parks, despite having scaled back its 'magic' since the pandemic began. A family vacation to Disneyland - once the pinnacle of summertime for middle-class American families - will today set a family of four back more than $6,000. With the average annual income now standing at $5,725 a month, this means a visit to the so-called 'happiest place on earth' is increasingly out of reach to the average American family.

I didn’t smoke a cigarette until age 10. Before that, me and the local boys would tramp over the local hills in search of dead ferns to smoke. By high school, we’d graduated to the healthier option. Cadging together $3, we’d skulk outside the off-license and wait. After 12 stern rejections, a reliable character would, for buyer’s rights of one cigarette per 10, smuggle us a glossy packet of Lambert and Butler. Unknowingly, we were Ayn Randian capitalists—peddling each cigarette on the school’s black market for six times the store price. Since then, I’ve smoked with sinful enthusiasm. Governor Abbott threatened to defund the Texas Legislature after Texas Democrats walked out of the legislative session rather than take a vote on election reform laws. When they broke quorum and shut down the session, Abbott said that if legislators weren’t going to do their jobs, they shouldn’t be paid. Friday Abbott made good on that threat. The elections bill was a top priority for the governor during this year’s session. Texas Democrats decided to cut and run, breaking quorum, instead of voting on Senate Bill 7. They knew that the Republicans had the votes to pass the legislation – both the Texas House and the Texas Senate hold Republican majorities.
