President Biden on Monday wouldn’t repeat his assertion that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a “killer,” calling him a “worthy adversary” as he prepares for a showdown with Mr. Putin in Geneva on Wednesday. Speaking at a press conference at NATO headquarters in Belgium, the president said he will seek areas of cooperation with Mr. Putin, after Moscow’s interference in U.S. elections, cyberattacks originating in Russia and human-rights violations.(Snip) Asked if he still believes Mr. Putin is a “killer,” as he stated in March, Mr. Biden paused for an awkwardly long time before giving a forced laugh. He noted that Mr. Putin also laughed

Comments:

What's wrong with this person, and why are the Democrat Socialists OK with playground diplomacy? Seems the Helpful Republicans don't have much to say either; maybe we need another profitable war or two to keep the arms dealers happy.

The only aspirations Russia has is to fill the oligarchs' pockets with loot. This "restore the empire" nonsense is boob bait for Russian nationalists and useful idiot Soviets. Take away the nuclear arsenal, and Russia is second-rate, a continental power that can't get much beyond its borders. It is a natural enemy of China, and back when the US played China against Russia. Maybe it's time to flip the script. Be a lot easier if we could put an end to the Cold War thinking that still predominates American foreign policy.

Little Jimmy, in VPK at the local day care might be a “worthy adversary” for Dementia Joe. Putin is playing 3-D chess while Joe can’t tell you what his job is, where he is, or what day of the week it is. God save America. The lies and cheating that brought this upon America must be punished.

Unlike Putin, who calls biden a "light-weight senile old coot who I will crush with my mere personality"!!! Putin and Xi must roll on the floor laughing every time biden tries to pretend to be in the same class with them. They may be evil and despots, but they are strong leaders. biden makes Jimmy Carter look like he was a statesman and leader during his terrible, awful, no good presidency!!! The only thing biden has in common with Putin and Xi is that they are all evil!!!

US military guns keep vanishing—

In the first public accounting of its kind in decades, an Associated Press investigation has found that at least 1,900 U.S. military firearms were lost or stolen during the 2010s, with some resurfacing in violent crimes. And that’s certainly an undercount. Government records covering the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force show pistols, machine guns, shotguns and automatic assault rifles have vanished from armories, supply warehouses, Navy warships and elsewhere. These weapons of war disappeared because of security failures that, until now, have not been publicly reported, including sleeping troops and a surveillance system that didn’t record.(Snip) While AP’s focus was firearms, military explosives also

Southwest Airlines grounded flights across the country Tuesday for the second time in less than 24 hours, amid reports of nationwide computer issues. Air travelers took to Twitter by the thousands with reports of what airline staff reportedly told them was a computer system outage — hours after “intermittent performance issues” with a third-party weather app forced a similar group stop Monday night. “We are aware of system issues and are working quickly to resolve. We will share more info soon,” Southwest posted on its official Twitter account at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Airline operations resumed shortly before 4 p.m., Southwest said in a statement.

The FBI has warned that more QAnon conspiracy theorists may be driven to violence and even feel obligated to attack Democrats they believe to be members of a purported cabal of satanic child traffickers. The predictions appear in an unclassified, two-page threat assessment on QAnon prepared by the FBI and U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis that became public Monday. The assessment, dated June 4, said the involvement of QAnon adherents in the storming of the U.S. Capitol “will continue to act as a catalyst for some to begin accepting the legitimacy of violent action.”(Snip) QAnon originated in late 2017 and

Men and women alike are up in arms after it was revealed that a scene showing Batman performing oral sex was cut from the adult animated HBO Max series Harley Quinn—because, according to DC Entertainment executives, 'heroes don't do that.' Harley Quinn co-creator and executive producer Justin Halpern told Variety this week about the deleted scene, saying that it showed Batman 'going down on Catwoman'—but they were forced to nix the moment after DC told them they 'absolutely cannot do that' because it wasn't something that heroes do. Social media users have taken issue not with the fact that the scene

This is the moment cops appear to do nothing amid a drive-by shooting in Atlanta as residents of the wealthy Buckhead area say it's a 'warzone' and demand to secede. A few seconds later, blue lights could be seen reflecting off the windshield of the black van, symbolizing police cars passing by

There is one big thing wrong with the American dream of owning one's own home: the price. Now that the pandemic is easing across much of the country, prices are skyrocketing — just like at the peak of the housing bubble, houses are being snapped up for well over the asking price in a matter of hours. The Case-Shiller home price index saw an annualized growth rate of 13.3 percent in March, the highest figure in more than seven years. All this is a consequence of the American idea, and the goofy system we've constructed to prop it up, that homes
