Calling foul on the
Alexandria Little League’s

Next year, our nation will celebrate 75 years since Jackie Robinson broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier. But three-quarters of a century after Robinson helped sports transcend racism, a new group of activists wants to ensure that future generations of ballplayers remain fixated on race. As a Virginia resident and parent of two young children, I find attempts to indoctrinate Little League coaches on critical race theory not only troubling but also extremely harmful.

Jackie Robinson DID NOT break the color barrier. That barrier was broken by Branch Rickey - - and several other baseball executives who helped him. Mr. Rickey chose Jackie as his instrument to accomplish the deed. Jackie was an excellent choice - - an outstanding baseball player and a decent, honorable man - - which was very fortunate - - because Mr. Rickey's second choice to break the barrier - - Dan Bankhead - - turned out to be a real stiff. The credit for breaking the barrier belongs to Branch Rickey - - and the credit for successfully fulfilling Mr. Rickey's crusade - - goes to Jackie Robinson.

Democrats don’t want you to ‘be all you can be.’ They want you to be needy and dependent. Suppressed. Controllable. Hardly looking for your best interests.

I suggest reading the WaPo comments section accompanying the article for examples of left wing lack of insight, critical thinking and racism.

What #1 has said. The race barrier broken only to be reinstated in this century thank liberal activist and race hustlers for ruining all sports. First the Boy Scouts now the Little League. It's back to the sandlot for the young kids.

President Biden Zoomed with world leaders last week to announce his plan to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions. Unfortunately, his proposal will almost certainly have the opposite effect by transferring relatively clean U.S. energy production to dirty producers overseas. As children, we learn that objects continue to exist even when they can’t be seen. Energy production is no exception. By canceling American projects, resource extraction and jobs are shifting to environmentally damaging operations in Russia, China and elsewhere.

Many Christians are feeling frustrated with the Biden administration. A recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal points to how Joe Biden’s flip-flop on refugees is frustrating evangelicals who foolishly voted for him last November. As the Journal contributor noted, they have a reason to feel betrayed.  Believers who care about values, life, and religious liberty continue to find that the new administration has let them down time and time again. While Biden may attend Mass regularly, many of his policy positions raise questions of how diligently he practices his Catholic faith outside the four walls of his church. CORRECTIONS*

Last week, legal accountability group Judicial Watch dropped a bombshell: a nearly 600-page report proving the U.S. government has been buying and trafficking “fresh” aborted baby body parts. These body parts, purchased by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to “humanize” mice and test biologic drugs in scientific experiments, came from babies up to 24-weeks-old gestation, just weeks from being born.

President Joe Biden last week proposed $400 billion in new federal spending on home- and community-based services for seniors and individuals with disabilities as part of a $2 trillion infrastructure package. While these provisions might at first glance seem out of place with a topic normally associated with roads and bridges, the proposal fits with the broader themes of Biden's plan. As with the overall package, Biden's home-based care proposal begins with a good idea but points it in the wrong policy direction, using it as an excuse to expand government rather than tackling important structural reforms.

With the turbulence of our current politics, it should come as no surprise that many Christians are looking for such height when it comes to political issues. Unfortunately, many are finding themselves in cul-de-sacs of confusion. The most recent evidence is the debate sparked over so-called "Christian nationalism," which, from the perspective of evangelical elites, is the bane of all Christian witness in the public square.

As two women who have spent our careers in and around politics, we commemorate the role that women from Abigail Adams to Susan B. Anthony have played throughout our nation's political history, and celebrate the increasing number of conservative women elected to office. But when it comes to a resolution the House will soon consider regarding the Equal Rights Amendment, we object to both its unconstitutional process and its harmful, anti-women policies.

Are the ranks of the U.S. military riddled with white supremacists? CNN thinks so, and won’t let the facts get in the way of this compelling narrative. CNN makes its case in a story headlined, “Disproportionate number of current and former military personnel arrested in Capitol attack, CNN analysis shows.” This is both factually untrue and downright libelous. It dishonors the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces.

As millions of Americans nationwide patiently wait for access to the coronavirus vaccine, why would lawmakers enact a bill to reduce the availability of lifesaving treatments? Those effects would likely result from legislation the Maryland House of Delegates will soon vote on. As the parent of a child born with a disability, I believe the move will harm some of the most vulnerable among us.

If you had told parents living in Los Angeles back in March, that we would still be under lockdown seven months later and that our children would not be permitted to freely trick-or-treat on Halloween we would have started our own peaceful playground protests. As a mother of two small children, I have seen firsthand how my kids have been uniquely impacted by the extended confinement. Their routines were disrupted without warning and they've experienced broken promises of when life as they knew it would resume based on moving targets set by local officials.

Late Friday the British publication DailyMail reported that the United States Department of Defense provided $39 million in grant funding to “EcoHealth Alliance” as part of the aggregated grant funding received by EcoHealth Alliance to conduct various types of “gain of function” virus research – a type of research in which scientists engineer viruses to make them more transmissible or lethal and which can be used to create bioweapons. EcoHealth Alliance used a large amount of its funding to support research projects on the subject at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, led by Chinese “bat virus” expert Dr. Shi Zenglhi — the “Bat Lady.”

Obama suggested that urban areas will face more barriers in order to vote, alleging that the law made a "different set of rules for how votes are counted in Atlanta versus how they're counted in the rest of Georgia."
