One of Iran’s largest warships caught fire and sank Wednesday in the Gulf of Oman during a “training mission”—as a series of mysterious explosions have targeted commercial vessels in the sensitive region since 2019. The British-built Kharg, which measured more than 650 feet long, erupted into flames Tuesday off the strategic port of Jask, Reuters reported. The ship was in “domestic waters” during “a training mission,” said the navy’s head of public relations, Behzad Jahanian, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency. No further details were given and Jahanian said the cause of the blaze was “still not clear.” After an unsuccessful rescue mission,

The lefties in Israel want to get rid of Netanyahu and replace him with some schlub. If they succeed, fun things like explosions at the Natanz nuclear site, assassination of nuclear scientists, killing Iranian terrorists, cutting the terrorist weeds down in Gaza and sinking Iranian warships by use of frogmen might end. The American anti-semetic Democrat party will jump for joy is Israel is weakened. Biden wants to use your tax money to replant the terrorist Gaza weeds. How stupid is that? Or smart, I guess, if you are a hate America, blame America first, hate Israel always Democrat.

Good - and like I've often said, we should have decimated Tehran the second our people cleared Iranian airspace in '81.

The Iranians started this sabotage and I suspect Israel is showing them that two can play the game. If I were the Mullahs of Iran I would be worried sick about how much intel Israel has in Iran itself. It was the Mossad that tipped off Trump about Solemeini's agenda and movements. I am also amazed at much they knew about the houses of Hamas leaders and took them out with pinpoint strikes. Creepy. I would like to see what they have on Hunter and Joe's corruption.

Well darn the luck!
/s off
Be careful who you pick a fight with and threaten to "wipe off of the map". They might take it as a real threat and do something about it. Many "somethings", most likely. Mysterious "somethings".
I mean stuff could just.....explode if you "got unlucky".
And it doesn't help when you murder a lot of your own citizens. Some of THEM might take offense at their parents or brothers or sisters being murdered. They could even help with "something".
🙂

Poster #12, my son has read that somewhere also. Also, he said that two Iranian pilots have been killed in a strange accident. Their seats ejected while the plane was still in the hangar. Has anyone else read about this or is it just a rumor? Brings to mind that old saying, once is an accident, twice is coincidence, three times, it's deliberate.

Iran used to put out mines in the 'tanker wars' of the 80s. The old fashioned WW2 style ....a sphere of explosives with spikes studding the surface anchored just below the surface a few feet. The spikes are the detonators, and set it off if it is hit by a ship.
They darned near sank a USN frigate, USS Samuel B. Roberts ("Sammy B"), when it hit one of them, literally broke it's keel and only heroic efforts by the crew saved the ship. They ran heavy steel cables down passageways on each side of the ship, and tensioned these with the main capstan to literally, 'strap' the ship together across huge structural cracks. They kept any other ships from coming to their aid, since they were in a mine field, and used their tiny electric docking thrusters, capable only a few knots, to slowly work out of the mine field.
The explosion took out the main turbines, and only because one sailor stayed at his station in the auxiliary diesel generator room were they saved. That single aux gen overloaded immediately after the main engines shut down and then it shut down. That key sailor tried a normal restart, nothing happened. He went to backup mode, had to climb up onto the 16 cyl giant diesel and press a huge plunger to do the emergency start. Only because he did his job, and knew of the backup start procedure was there any electrical power to fight fires, run the capstan, communicate, and run the thrusters to move out of the minefield at 5 kts. They got other aux generators on line, too.
Few ships are saved after a broken keel and main turbines knocked off of mounts. The crew did heroic duty. FFG-58 was repaired and sailed again after what is normally a fatal hit.
I wonder if somebody was "returning the favor" to the Iranians and put some mines out there for them to find?
I doubt that their damage control folks are even remotely up to where USN damage control parties were in the 80s. No idea how our damage control would rate these days, since the Dems have been wrecking everything.

#16, the "old saying" we used in the military was: Once is accident, twice is coincidence, and three times is enemy action.

#16, ouch!
I was trained on ejection seat systems, and there are multiple 'safing pins' that are inserted to keep seats safe on the ground. And the last safety system for the TA-4 was the 'head knocker', which you reached up and unlocked and folded flat into your headrest at the end of the runway to make the seat 'hot'. At that point, pull the seat handles or the curtain and you are out of there.
Disabling all the multiple safeties on the seats while sitting in the hangar would be pretty diabolical. Or it could just be idiots working on the seats, too.

Obama and Buyden are fools to befriend Iran and abandon Israel. I would always stay friendly with a country that has a spy force like Mossad.

Hilarious headline. A practical demonstration of the collectivist, totalitarian, Islamofascist maritime and intelligence skill-set.
