Alaska Airlines’s flight attendant uniform policy discriminates against nonbinary workers by forcing them to “conform to rigid gender stereotypes,” the ACLU alleged in a Friday letter demanding that the airline alter its dress code. The American Civil Liberties Union wrote the letter on behalf of Seattle-based flight attendant Justin Wetherell, whose gender identity is nonbinary, or not strictly male or female, and whose gender expression is fluid and can change over time. Alaska Airlines allegedly has “male” and “female” dress and grooming requirements, allowing transgender workers to adhere to standards that match their gender identity, according to the letter. But the

We are trillions in debt, high unemployment, kids out of school for the past year, strange flying objects following the Navy around, a lab in China that creates pandemic bugs, looters burning our cities. and their priority is single sex uniforms for flight attendants? These people are airheads.

Spare me this ridiculous nonbinary tripe. There are two choices on the menu; everything else is mental illness. I will take a pass on having a mentally ill flight attendant. Of course, I no longer fly anyway thanks to the nonsense you have to put up with, so I guess this will be someone else's problem.

The Biden administration knew the key to a successful Covid vaccination campaign would be reaching the most vulnerable populations. But more than five months in, even a blueprint that’s worked with other ethnic and racial groups isn’t doing enough to win over Black Americans. Less than a quarter of Black Americans had received their first Covid-19 shot as of June 7 based on available federal data, amid a weekslong stagnation that has defied the government’s ramped-up effort to accelerate vaccinations and reach the nation’s most vulnerable communities. The slowdown has put Black Americans behind the pace set over the past
