Pete Buttigieg urged U.S. travelers to respect flight attendants and other crew members as guidance still states even vaccinated people have to wear face coverings on public transportation like planes, trains and buses.(Snip)
'They're following regulations and they're there to keep you safe. It is absolutely unacceptable to ever mistreat a transportation worker. 'And of course, there's very serious fines and enforcement around that,' Buttigieg added, pledging strict federal enforcement against those who push back against these rules. Buttigieg said the federal mask mandate, which remains in effect on planes, buses and trains until September 13, continues to be driven by public health considerations.

“Blue’s Clues” is going on parade—a pride parade, that is. A new singalong for the preschool crowd posted to Nickelodeon’s YouTube channel this week shows the beloved cartoon pup in a singalong about families—lead by “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Nina West. “The Blue’s Clues Pride Parade 🏳️🌈 Sing-Along Ft. Nina West!” includes a cartoon version of the drag queen crooning about all different kinds of families, including those with trans, non-binary, lesbian and gay parents. “This family has two mommies, they love each other so proudly, and they all go marching in the big parade!” West sings, as each family, depicted as different animals

Washington—It was another week with another horrific mass shooting. In cities across the country, gun homicides were climbing. Democrats and Republicans argued over the causes. President Joe Biden said enough.(Snip) In March 2020, federal background checks, a rough proxy for purchases, topped 1 million in a week for the first time since the government began tracking them in 1998. And the buying continued, through the protests in the summer and the election in the fall, until a week this spring broke the record with 1.2 million background checks. "There was a surge in purchasing unlike anything we've ever seen," said Dr. Garen J. Wintemute,

In 2016, federal officials detained the San Jose man accused of killing nine of his colleagues last week, finding him with books on terrorism and detailed writings about how much he hated the people at his work—but nobody bothered to alert local authorities, according to reports. Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen told USA Today Friday the intel might have helped prevent the mass attack by Samuel Cassidy Wednesday that resulted in the deaths of nine employees at the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority light rail hub.(Snip) Cassidy was stopped on a trip back from the Philippines in 2016 by US Customs and Border Protection.

It’s the jab or the job. Employers are allowed under federal law to require workers to get a COVID-19 vaccine before they can physically return to the workplace, according to updated guidance issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Friday. But they must provide “reasonable accommodations” for workers who refuse the shots because of a disability—including pregnancy—or for religious reasons, the agency said. The decision may mean unvaccinated employees could be required to wear masks, or to work remotely. The EEOC’s rules also gave the green light to companies offering incentives as a means of encouraging staffers to get vaccinated,

Last fall, parents at the posh $55,000-per-year Dalton School got wind of their first-graders being taught sex-education lessons that included masturbation. They complained to school administrators, but were told they had simply “misinterpreted” what Dalton’s now-notorious “health and wellness” educator Justine Ang Fonte—who last month led a controversial and explicit “porn literacy” workshop at another elite prep school—was teaching.(Snip) The Post viewed video of a cartoon Fonte used in one of her sex-ed classes for 6-year-olds showing little kids talking about “touching themselves” for pleasure. “Hey, how come sometimes my penis gets big sometimes

The United States' top general has called on the White House to evacuate all 18,000 interpreters who helped US troops in Afghanistan over fears the Taliban will murder them. General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, says a plan has been drawn up to rapidly fly all 18,000 interpreters to safety—but the White House has pushed back against his call to use it. Speaking at a US Air force Academy commencement ceremony on Wednesday, Milley said: 'There are plans being developed very, very rapidly here for not just interpreters, but a lot of other people that have worked with the United States.

A decorated Army veteran appointed by Donald Trump to West Point's advisory board at the end of his presidency has suggested that Joe Biden is deliberately bringing in migrants in a bid to change the demographic balance to help Democrats. Colonel Douglas Macgregor, 68, was appointed by Trump on December 8 for a three-year term on the board, which provides independent advice to the president on morale, curriculum, discipline, and other issues at West Point.(Snip)'And again, all of this is part of the grand plan. This is what Mr. Biden and his supporters want. They want another country. They don't want the United States.'

An explosive new study claims that Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a Wuhan lab, then tried to cover their tracks by reverse-engineering versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.
The paper's authors, British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen, wrote that they have had 'prima facie evidence of retro-engineering in China' for a year—but were ignored by academics and major journals. Dalgleish is a professor of oncology at St George's University, London, and is best known for his breakthrough creating the first working 'HIV vaccine', to treat diagnosed patients

New reports are raising questions about how prison guards missed the hours-long sadistic torture and beheading of a convicted killer allegedly at the hands of his cellmate. State Inspector General's Office reports on California lockups raised new questions about the heinous attack at Corcoran State Prison in March 2019. The murder of Luis Romero, 44, has prompted separate investigations and a lawsuit by the family of the victim, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.(Snip) But the family's lawsuit also questions why Romero was in a cell with Osuna, a convicted killer and 'self-styled Satanist' with a history of attacking his cellmates,

The Miami-Dade Police Department is honoring the LGBTQ community with a rainbow-themed patrol vehicle. The vehicle—which is decorated with the colors of the Pride flag and the words “hope,” “love,” “equality,” “inclusion,” “kindness,” “peace,” and also the phrase “strength through unity”—will be used “to establish a more trusting relationship within our communities,” MDPD Sergeant Orlando Lopez said during the unveiling ceremony on Thursday in Doral. “What better way to assist in educating the public about Pride and in promoting engagement between law enforcement and the community we serve?,” Lopez asked, when introducing the “MDPD Pride Vehicle.”(Snip) An anti-hate symbol
