Desperate Don Lemon 'apologizes'

Is planting misleading innuendo about oneself a good tool to sell the services of an information provider? In what other product category does one openly debase the quality as a means of gathering attention? Tucker Carlson, whose viewership is more than 4 times that of Don Lemon’s, likes to characterize the CNN host as stupid. That label certainly applies to the publicity stunt trick Lemon pulled on Friday night: “CNN Tonight” anchor Don Lemon announced Friday that “this will be the last night” of the show he’s hosted since 2014 (snip) "I’ll be back on Monday with my newly named show Don Lemon Tonight. See you Monday at 10pE."

They were trying to create "buzz" for his TV show that NOBODY Watches? You can name the show whatever you want, people aren't going to watch a hack who spins the truth and gets away with it from his network. There is a reason WHY his show and CNN are flailing .

In the early days of CNN, they tried to be a news channel. Their best anchor was Bernard Shaw, who, during a presidential debate between Bush 41 and Dukakis, knocked Dukakis out of the presidency with one question about the death penalty, (which Dukakis opposed.) "If someone raped and murdered your wife, Kitty, would you call for the death penalty for him?" Dukakis responded, in a robot like monotone. "No" Little Mikey's race for the presidency ended right there.

Forrest Gump, with his simple, commonsensical approach to life, often noted, “just like that” something changed. Whether it was the rain in Vietnam, his running adventure, or his Army service, “just like that” it was over. Now after a year of mask-wearing, “just like that” it is no longer necessary per the CDC’s latest guidance. Last week the CDC suddenly reversed course with this new guidance. If you are fully vaccinated, you can resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic. (snip) What changed? Only a few months ago, last February, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that Americans may still need to wear face masks through 2022

Bill Gates has been prominent during the COVID panic. He has all sorts of ideas about controlling people’s lives and “solving” climate change. However, now that his wife is leaving him, the floodgates are opening. The Bill Gates we’re seeing isn’t the amiable, slightly weird genius. Instead, he’s "sexual predator adjacent" -- a man who befriended Jeffrey Epstein and had a questionable relationship with the Clinton Foundation. For many people, Bill Gates was the genius behind the Microsoft empire. For others, he was a mediocre programmer who had a nose for spotting other people’s talent and, like a mob boss, pressuring them into handing their valuable products over to him.

The biggest loser from the ongoing Hamas rocket barrage is not Israel. It’s Mahmoud Abbas. He was already losing before Hamas opened fire. He is now down and out. A totally irrelevant figure in the recent unrest. What was the spark that lit both the violence on the Arab street and the Hamas rockets? It was the decision of Mahmoud Abbas to, once again, call for a Palestinian election. What else is new? He has been doing it regularly ever since he lost the initial Palestinian election in 2006.

Is Kamala Harris in open rebellion against Joe Biden? Sure looks that way. Seven weeks after being named Biden's border czar, she's in some sort of defiance against the job Biden gave her and racking up failures. (snip) Why does it look like rebellion? Start with the fact that he fobbed that job off onto Kamala quite possibly as a sort of payback to President Obama, who during a previous border surge, dumped that job onto him. For decades engineers have used petroleum to make everyday products. It's still commonly used in everything from rubbers and plastics to chemicals and asphalt. But this useful product comes from crude oil, which is often criticized by activists and experts as harmful to the environment, citing oil spills and fracking incidents. Recent studies from the last decade have shown that petroleum isn't as efficient as some once thought. Now, companies, engineers and scientists aim to replace it with plant-based oils, specifically soybeans. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. recently announced its goal to replace all petroleum-based products with soybean oil by 2040.
