Romney: Expelling Liz Cheney
will drive away voters

Sen. Mitt Romney warned Monday removing Rep. Liz Cheney from GOP leadership in the House will drive voters away from the Republican Party. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy plans to hold a vote Wednesday to oust Ms. Cheney as House conference chair. “Expelling Liz Cheney from leadership won’t gain the GOP one additional voter, but it will cost us quite a few,” Mr. Romney said on Twitter. Mr. Romney is the sole Republican in the Senate to vote to convict Mr. Trump on an abuse-of-power charge following the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Liz Cheney has had plenty of time to discuss her desire to be a leader in the House, and I'm presuming she has not given Kevin McCarthy, House Leader, assurances to that effect. Funny how Mitt admitted he would not have voted for impeachment had he known the full extent of the story the democrats concocted. Mitt will not be viewed positively by the history books for that vote.

I don't think Liz Cheney looms large in voters' minds. Her accomplishments have been modest, at best. Being a female Congressman is nothing unusual. Wyoming is one of the least populated states - it's not like millions of people have voted for her. She needs to ride off into the sunset.

A Navy warship and the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency on Saturday failed twice in a key test to shoot down a medium-range ballistic missile, raising questions about America’s readiness to intercept potential enemy attacks. The Defense Department did not reveal a specific location, but it’s believed the test took place somewhere off the coast of Hawaii. The announcement of the test’s failure comes just one day after the Biden administration requested a fiscal 2022 budget of $8.9 billion for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), down from its 2021 figure of $9.1 billion.(Snip) Perhaps adding insult to injury, a Russian naval surveillance ship

It’s the jab or the job. Employers are allowed under federal law to require workers to get a COVID-19 vaccine before they can physically return to the workplace, according to updated guidance issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Friday. But they must provide “reasonable accommodations” for workers who refuse the shots because of a disability—including pregnancy—or for religious reasons, the agency said. The decision may mean unvaccinated employees could be required to wear masks, or to work remotely.
