Glenn Youngkin will headline 2021’s marquee election contest as the Republican nominee for governor of Virginia. Results from the Virginia Republican Party’s “unassembled” ranked-choice contest cast on Saturday and tabulated Monday put Youngkin at over 50% of allocated delegates in the sixth round of tabulation after 13 hours of counting. Youngkin, 54, is the former co-CEO of the Carlyle Group private equity firm who retired from the firm last summer. A first-time candidate, Youngkin has the ability to self-fund his campaign to a large extent and flaunts his political novice as keeping him free to make decisions without having years of political relationships to maintain.

Comments:

Not my first choice but he’s certainly better that McAuliffe. Starting to hear rumblings of a write-in effort by sore loser Amanda Chase, certainly splitting the GOP vote.

The RNC had better support this guy. They didn't support Cuccinelli and we ended up with McAuliffe the first time!! McAuliffe is a Clinton toad and the RNC better not call me for any more donations if they let this lying snake get back in!

We went to one of Glenn's events. He is exactly the man I want as our governor. We met him, asked the important question about support for law enforcement. The swamp is very deep in VA. I hope the good people here back Glenn.

The five small girls, ranging in ages from one to six years old, were led across the Rio Grande River and abandoned the evening before. The human smugglers left them with no food, water, or any adults to care for them throughout the night. The rancher’s wife shot a video when they found the children on Mothers Day Sunday morning. There can be no denying that the political left are an intolerant and authoritarian bunch. The Democratic party that represents it wants to cancel the rights of anyone who disagrees with them.Showing that fascism is all in the family, Chelsea Clinton has joined the calls for social media censorship. After all, it’s been a standard feature of her mother’s bitter Twitter diatribes since she was rejected by voters in the 2016 election. The heir to the Clinton political dynasty joined the team effort to save Joe Biden from an early humiliation by steamrolling any opposition to his stated goal of vaccinating 70 percent of the U.S. by July 4th.
