While those on the right and left were glad to see the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finally follow the science and announce that vaccinated individuals no longer need to wear masks indoors in many instances, some questioned the timing of Thursday’s announcement amid multiple crises, both at home and abroad.“While the new mask guidance is encouraging, the CDC and my Far Radical Left colleagues only chose to do this to distract from the consequences of catastrophic policy decisions that have been heard around the world," said GOP Rep. Andy Biggs. "Inflation is rising, the Middle East is in shambles, the working class can’t fill up their gas tanks,

Republican Senators were stunned on Thursday when homeland security chief Alejandro Mayorkas insisted the surge of juvenile migrants began under President Donald Trump.“The surge of unaccompanied children… had begun in April 2020, many months before we took office,” said Mayorkas, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.Mayorkas repeated the claim at least three times and was echoed by Democrats, including committee chairman Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI).“I’ve had respect for you, as you know, Secretary,” Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) responded to Mayorkas. “But I’m not able to sit here and not comment on this idea that somehow this is Donald Trump’s fault,”

Sen. Ron Johnson went after acting chief of U.S. Capitol Police Yogananda Pittman for dodging his questions about her force’s involvement in spreading lies about the cause of Capitol Officer Brian Sicknick’s death following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.In April, the Wisconsin Republican sent a letter to the acting chief of U.S. Capitol Police demanding answers about the law enforcement agency’s Jan. 7 press release that claimed Sicknick, whom medical examiners determined died of natural causes, died due to “injuries sustained while on-duty” after “physically engaging with protestors.”Pittman’s response, Johnson explained in his most recent letter, was subpar.

Congressswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has become a lightning rod for Democratic Party criticism. Greene has been involved in an ongoing feud with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, so much so that her berating of AOC has prompted Speaker Pelosi to launch an “investigation” into Greene’s actions for purported ethics violations. On Wednesday, the feud renewed when Greene and AOC were leaving the House chamber. Greene reportedly yelled “Hey, Alexandria!” twice. Greene chased down Ocasio-Cortez and launched into a tirade about the “radical socialist” and her support for Antifa, a violent extremist group that Greene called “terrorists.”

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told the Washington Post Friday that she believed Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is “deeply unwell” and has questionable “perceptions of reality.”When a reporter asked Ocasio-Cortez about Greene, who challenged her to a debate on the Green New Deal in April, the representative said that other members of the House of Representatives were concerned about Greene and that she needed to be evaluated by a professional.“I mean, this is a woman that’s deeply unwell,” Ocasio-Cortez told a reporter. “And clearly needs some help.

President Joe Biden told Americans who have their full COVID vaccine to remove their face masks and his wife Jill, visiting West Virginia, did just that.'If you're fully vaccinated, take your mask off. You've earned the right to do something that Americans are known for all around the world, greeting others with a smile,' President Biden said during remarks in the White House Rose Garden. And a maskless first lady was all smiles when she stepped off her plane in Charleston, W. Va., on Thursday, one of the first to appear in public without a face covering after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced their new guidelines.

The Israel Defence Forces managed to trick Hamas into believing a ground invasion was underway last night and then obliterated their tunnel network knowing militants would be hiding underground waiting to ambush tanks and soldiers, reports in Israel claim. There was confusion when the IDF said shortly after midnight that ground forces were 'attacking in Gaza', and later suggested that boots were on the ground. A spokesman later retracted that statement - saying that military operations were conducted along the border, but no Israeli troops had crossed it. However, the announcement was apparently a well-planned ploy to get Hamas to send its fighters into its underground tunnel system

House Republicans approved Rep. Elise Stefanik to their No. 3 leadership position Friday — officially voting her into the post after Rep. Liz Cheney was forced out this week. The 134-46 tally for Stefanik (R-NY) was nearly guaranteed before the vote took place, given that she went into the meeting with former President Donald Trump’s endorsement and without a serious challenger. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) had launched a bid, but it failed to gain traction. Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.), who serves as vice chair of the House GOP Conference, was also reportedly interested in the role,
