From foolishness to the absurd; from the absurd to the ridiculous; from the ridiculous to the stupid. Children are ruling over the elders. "Wise" old men are quavering in the corners, or at the podium embellished with... that Seal... you know... the thing.

I actually wrote a paper about hemp in a college history class in 1977. My professor thought I was going to have something in it about the psycho active properties. He was surprised to find a straight forward no nonsense paper on the history of hemp farming(mostly in Kentucky) for the fiber it created to make rope. I researched it and taught him a lot about the technology of farming the plant. One thing I found interesting was that large containers of the seeds to be saved for next years crops were extremely prone to spontaneous combustion. And many farmers lost their barns that way. It was much worse that storing any other type of seed. I also pointed out that it made a much better rope than nylon. It wouldn't melt in a fire. Sure it would eventually burn through but it would hold your ship to the dock for a much longer time than nylon. It also weathered longer than nylon in general sea water conditions. But the nylon industry closed down the hemp industry with false claims that the hemp being farmed was the kind that could be used as a drug. It never was. You could smoke it till you coughed up a lung and not get a buzz. The strain used was bred for it's fiber and not it's THC content. Makes a big difference. BTW, I personally believe CBD is today's snake oil.

I guess this is a business course teaching how to start and run a weed business. If not that, then I don't know what they could be teaching. Maybe they just sit around and smoke it.
