The attorney for the family of Ashli Babbit, the unarmed protester shot and killed during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, is now announcing that they will file civil charges over the violation of her constitutional rights.Attorney Terry Roberts appeared on NewsMax Monday morning to talk about the Department of Justice dropping all charges against the unnamed police officer who shot Babbitt that day during the siege on the Capitol. He pointed out that the officer was to Babbitt’s left as she came into the building through the breached entrance. She did not see him and he allegedly gave her no verbal warning before shooting and killing the 35-year-old

Great news. I wish the Babbit family all success in bringing justice on this matter. It is not just the murderer that should be sued. There is a whole lineup of scoundrels that deserve justice on this matter.

Fight back against the democrats in exactly the way they go after Republicans. This woman deserves justice and what she got was shot to death by someone with an agenda. The discovery in this case should be interesting. We will find out under whose command the shooter was. It would be lovely to see this laid at the feet of Nancy Pelosi.

'bout damn time! Justice for Ashli.
Let's see, if a drugged-up thug can get $27 million, Ashli should get $150 million.

The Democrats' response to Ashli Babbitt's killing is that she was white, was possibly part of a fringe group and was breaking the law (i.e., trespassing). Compare that to St. George Floyd, who was black, high on illegal drugs, had been accused of committing a crime (passing a counterfeit bill) and was engaged in another one (resisting arrest).

It's amazing that BLM and Antifa looters can invade and destroy a business, attack innocent people, and perpetrate other kinds of violence, but an unarmed White woman can be shot for no good reason.
The ''officer'' who shot Ashli should be charged with murder.

Why didn't that 'cop' just shoot in the air? That's what joyless behar says they should do. Right?

What court will this be filed in? Congress has a Byzantine system of laws and exceptions protecting itself. Capitol Police are an extension of Congress. The government has roomfuls of lawyers waiting to take your case.

Somehow, I don't see the Congress sending Ashli's family a $27 million dollar check just before the trial like the yahoos in Minneapolis did a few weeks ago.
Although in this case, the payment IS justified.

Ashli behaved stupidly that day,
Should taxpayers have to give piles of money to her family, for her stupid behavior?

Say his name - Michael Leroy Byrd - murderer of unarmed female Air Force veteran. There should be riots if the incompetent jelly-spined Capitol cop is not brought to justice.

#10, George Floyd behaved stupidly on that day. Should taxpayers fork out 27 million dollars for that?

Where do I send my check? If we don’t take a stand and fight this type of injustice, our Republic is over!

Terresa, not "unnamed police officer". He is David Bailey, a black cop. And by the way, Terresa. I believe Bailey is the same guy who was supposed to be providing security at the congressional softball game in 2017, then stood down and gave James Hodgkinson free reign to start shooting up republican representatives including Steve Scalise.

The thug who murdered her should be in prison.
