Mike Lindell, a conservative activist and the owner of MyPillow, announced Monday that his company has sued Dominion Voting Systems for $1.6 billion, saying the company has engaged in cancel culture and impeded his First Amendment rights. “MyPillow just sued Dominion for $1.6 billion. This is all about the First Amendment rights to free speech, what they have done to our country,” Mr. Lindell said during a livestream on the Right Side Broadcasting Network. “This isn’t about the money. This is about our First Amendment,” he said. Mr. Lindell was joined by lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who said Dominion has acted as the government

An Illinois man accused of beating his wife was fatally shot by cops as he hit a deputy in the head with a metal pipe, harrowing bodycam video shows. The footage, released Monday by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, shows multiple deputies ordering Faustin Guetigo, 27, to drop the metal pipe as he walked up a set of stairs at the couple’s Rockford home on April 10. Guetigo—whose wife had accused him of punching her at least twice in the head and face—ignored the commands and kept coming at a deputy atop the stairs, hitting him with the pipe and sending him to the ground,

The Biden administration will consider forcing cigarette makers to reduce the nicotine in their cigarettes to levels that aren't addicting—at the same time more than half of U.S. states have legalized marijuana in some form. The administration already was considering banning menthol flavoring in cigarettes, but while they've been chewing over that rule, they've discussed going even further with the possible nicotine limits, according to the Wall Street Journal.(Snip) 'Marijuana smokers tend to inhale more deeply and hold their breath longer than cigarette smokers, which leads to a greater exposure per breath to tar,' the Lung Association says.

Herpes infections may be a side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine, experts have revealed. Scientists in Israel identified six cases in a new study of patients developing a skin rash known as herpes zoster after receiving the Pfizer vaccine, according to a study in the Rheumatology journal. Herpes zoster starts off as a small, itchy skin rash, but if left untreated, it could cause nerve damage and pain, the Jerusalem Post reported. This can include a prolonged burning sensation on the skin even after the rash disappears. Researchers from Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Carmel Medical Center in Haifa found those with autoimmune inflammatory

A 36-year-old Brazilian man caught jumping the border over the weekend pointed to an 8-year-old girl with him and claimed she was his daughter. Agents didn’t believe him. After questioning the two immigrants, they realized their stories didn’t match up. The man then admitted he was a friend of the child’s mother in Brazil and was using the girl to pretend to be a family, hoping to take advantage of the more lenient treatment U.S. policy affords parents who show up with children in tow. Many Christians are feeling frustrated with the Biden administration. A recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal points to how Joe Biden’s flip-flop on refugees is frustrating evangelicals who foolishly voted for him last November. As the Journal contributor noted, they have a reason to feel betrayed.  Believers who care about values, life, and religious liberty continue to find that the new administration has let them down time and time again. While Biden may attend Mass regularly, many of his policy positions raise questions of how diligently he practices his Catholic faith outside the four walls of his church. CORRECTIONS*
