The U.S. Department of State announced on Monday it will issue a 'Level 4: Do Not Travel' advisory, its highest warning, for about 80 percent of countries. In an official statement, the agency said the risk of COVID-19 while traveling remains too high and urged Americans to 'reconsider all travel abroad.' 'This does not imply a reassessment of the current health situation in a given country, but rather reflects an adjustment in the State Department's Travel Advisory system to rely more on CDC's existing epidemiological assessments,' the statement read.(Snip) Only three countries-Macau, New Zealand and Taiwan—are currently listed as 'Level 1: Exercise Normal

We had hoped to reschedule our canceled England and Scotland vacation for this summer. But as we contacted the venues and the hotels, etc. it was clear that they were "hoping to be open" and al that nonesense. We tried for about two months, and nothing got stable in England or Scotland.
Scroom. Absolute idiots.

The CDC should be taken out and shot. These phony restrictions are an attempt to capture freedoms from the population while making most of the world pariahs.

Sorry, Europe. But, thanks to the worthless state dept, we bagged our Iceland, Scotland, and Switzerland trip until 2022.

Have begun planning an anniversary cruise to Greece in the fall of 2022 with some friends of ours. Was informed that everything is going great there now, that they are opening up because they now have vaccinated everyone and they track people and check for fevers...you know all those wonderful safety points that the COVID hysteria has brought us. This included vac-passports required, it seems. I told [them] that if things are still this idiotic by this time next year, Im going to start rethinking my travel plans. Greece has always been an item on my bucket list since I was a kid, but if Im going to be tracked and required to take a shot that I think is highly questionable and not verified to completely eradicate the COVID viruses, then Id rather spend my money here.

This is not about 'existing epidemiological assessments.' This is part of the continuing effort to condition Americans to live without liberty.

I hear you, #5. I’ve visited most of my bucket list places, so if I never cross an ocean again, I won’t be heartbroken. But, I feel for those what have to make those choices now. Hubby and I are looking seriously at buying an RV, and seeing as much of the US, as possible. Luckily, we have already been to New York and California, so we can skip those.

We are vaccinated and are leaving for St. Lucia on Wednesday (I think). This is a trip that was postponed for the last two years. (2019 was postponed for medical reasons, 2020 for Co-Vid).

But will contradictory government ever stop people from other countries from coming here? Especially illegals?

My daughter and I are going to South Korea the beginning of June, not only are we having to quarantine for 2 weeks at our expense when we get there but we have to have a negative covid test before going and coming back. This is despite us already having had covid in December. The biggest pain is dealing with the canceled and rescheduled flights.
My children were supposed to go to Japan this spring after it being canceled this fall but Japan isn’t open and the airlines cancelled the flights. They have yet to get a refund for either flight cost through Expedia. I’m sick of this covid nonsense and the govt using this to control us. Anyone want to start a class action lawsuit against China?

To all New Yorkers, Californians, and other Blue State liberals, Texas is now considered Level 9... "a highly don't go there" place. Stay home and exercise extreme caution... wear 6 masks and give all your money to BLM.

That settles it then. The only question is which foreign country I'm going to go visit.this summer. Whatever this pinheaded administration says to do, do the opposite!

There is not enough money left in the US Treasury to pay me to get on an airplane nor a cruise ship. If I can't drive it in two days, I don't need to go there. Anywhere.

Where is the legitimate US new media, does it even exist anymore. As notice we are being told all about this upcoming international travel ban by a foreign news source, the UK Daily Mail newspaper and website.

Get the vaccine so you can resume a normal life. Just kidding; you still can't travel, you still have to wear a mask, and you still can meet only with small groups of people you know, plus you risk blood clots and any number of unknown future adverse events.
