White-flag Joe, flapping in the breeze

Joe Biden is getting pathetic. He's flapping in the breeze on the border crisis, flipping and flopping on whether the record number of illegal migrants surging our border amounts to a crisis, and shifting his stance on how many refugees he plans to force on America, like it or not. According to John Solomon's JustTheNews: President Biden on Saturday called the historic border surge a “crisis” for the first time, even as he pushed ahead with plans to increase the caps for refugees admitted into the United States. ”We’re going to increase the number [of refugees]," he said at a news conference.

Just like Obama. Foreign policy under Biden and Obama: - Hurt the United States by espousing policies that do just that. If its bad for the United States, Biden and Obama are for it. - Alienate allies through ignorance, incompetence, and insults. Just look at the recent meeting with the Japanese foreign minister. They let in millions of illegals that will destroy the country as we know it. All of a sudden, they admit to problems showing their incompetence and non-reliability. From their perspective, their foreign policy has been a success. its all one giant middle finger.

Getting pathetic? He's been pathetic since his days on the New Castle County council (one 2 yr term) in the early 70's. How he beat an incumbent senator - Caleb Boggs - in 1972 during the Nixon landslide is a mystery. Maybe not. Boggs was up so much in the polls then that he coasted to defeat.

Biden already has a ready made “refugee” population coming across the Southern border in massive numbers. What he could do is classify the entire population of illegal alien minors who are now unlawfully entering the USA as “refugees” under the refugee provisions of the immigration laws. That classification would in itself grant those “refugees” a legal immigration status, with all sorts of “refugee” benefits, healthcare, and government services indefinitely, including getting to bring their foreign family members into the USA to reunite with them. Since Biden gets to set the annual “refugee” quota, he could manipulate that number annually to cover all the illegal alien minors coming across the borderline unlawfully. Then when the parents of all those minors pay the Mexican cartel people smugglers to bring their minor children into the USA, they would know that their minor children would get to stay in the USA as “refugees” and they could also start packing up to move to the USA to rejoin their minor children as “refugees” and reap all the benefits granted by the US Government to “refugees”. Since the leftist and liberal Democrats control the Congress chances are that they would be pleased as punch to support Biden in those efforts. Especially since the Congressional Democrats already support granting immediate US citizenship to all illegal alien minors who unlawfully enter the USA, and to pass an all in compassing voter rights bill that would lower the voting age to 16 years of age, so when you take all the above into consideration, the leftist Democrats would have the potential to use all those foreign born minors to expand the leftist and liberal Democrat voter base by several million a year on into the future. In enough places in the USA, to greatly favor the Democrats in both future congressional redistricting, and in future elections enough for the Democrats to permanently control the Congress, and ensure that only leftist Democrat candidates would have a chance to be elected President of the USA. That’s one way for the leftist Democrats to transform the USA into their desired socialist utopia. No doubt a good number of cheap foreign labor loving establishment and RINO Republicans would be happy to go along.

Remember Pauline Kael? She's the famous Manhattan film critic who apocryphally said that she couldn't understand how anyone could vote to re-elect President Nixon in 1972, because she didn't know anyone. (Actually -- she did know one, but lost track of him.) She "lived in a rather special world," as she put it. Well, the New York Times still lives there, and appears to like being mired in the same Mr. Magooism. Latest nonsense from those heights comes from a big data-journalism-driven piece with three bylines and four contributors on vaccine hesitancy around the U.S., concluding that it's all those troglodytes who voted for President Trump

Bloomberg has a credible story about how its bond market is going, beginning with this lovely headline: In Venezuela Bond Market, Gunmen and Bags of Cash Are Required ...and lede: In what is perhaps the tiniest and almost certainly the most primitive bond market in the world, default isn’t the greatest risk that investors face. Mugging is. This market can be found in Caracas, Venezuela, where the socialist government of President Nicolas Maduro is ever so slowly freeing up the battered economy to allow the kinds of capitalist ventures it had long banned. As the border crisis gets bigger and bigger, the Biden administration is running out of ideas. Latest weather balloon to be floated around is the possibility of U.S. taxpayer checks to pay would-be illegals in Central America to stay home. According to a report from Reuters: WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The United States is considering a conditional cash transfer program to help address economic woes that lead migrants from certain Central American countries to trek north, as well as sending COVID-19 vaccines to those countries, a senior White House official told Reuters on Friday.

So where's Kamala Harris, Joe Biden's border crisis project manager? Looks like she's in Chicago, getting "a snack," according to White House spokesweasel Jen Psaki. Such is the simplified summary of the state of things, based on a snapping, flippant reply by the latter to a question from a New York Post reporter. According to the Daily Mail: New York Post reporter Steven Nelson acknowledged during Wednesday's press briefing: 'As we discussed here today, Vice President Harris is put in charge of addressing the root causes of the border crisis.' 'She hasn't visited the border or Central America or spoken with leaders of El Salvador or Honduras,' he noted.

President Trump tried to make a big deal about Joe Biden's plan to federally mandate cheap apartments with low-income residents into suburban single-family zones. The claim was it would achieve "equality." The unstated plan was "more Democrat voters." Trump warned of it as a scheme to end the suburbs, and it turns out he was right. Biden's $3.2 trillion infrastructure plan sneaks that leftist dream scheme into its thousands of pages of legislation, instead of lets the bad idea die on its own through a true congressional vote. The New York Post's Betsy McCaughey warned in 2020 that the whole scheme was 'disastrous.'

As a president, Joe Biden is a mess, always wrong on every foreign policy decision, as Bob Gates used to say. One of his biggest, among many, is his hideous decision to halt construction of President Trump's border wall, which has since led to hundreds of thousands of illegals pouring in. Being Incompetent Joe, he didn't see it coming. Now, old Joe's got no choice but to backtrack. According to the Washington Times: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told department employees he may restart border wall construction to plug what he called “gaps” in the current barrier. In a conversation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees last week Mr. Mayorkas

How's this for some disgusting, insulting, patronization of Latino voters from the left-wing Democrat political consultant establishment? An unwittingly revolting report comes from Axios: A new analysis of U.S. voters suggests — counterintuitively — that the coronavirus pandemic may have helped drive former President Donald Trump's surprising increase in support from Latinos last November. The big picture: By shifting Trump's rhetoric from immigration to fears around the economic impact of shutdowns, the virus gave conservative and low-information Latino voters a permission structure to back Trump even if they shunned him in 2016, according to preliminary findings by research firm Equis that were reviewed by Axios.
