If You Care About the Tragic Death of Adam
Toledo, You Can Care About the 28 People

Thirteen-year-old Adam Toledo didn’t deserve to die. He didn’t deserve to die for violating curfew. He didn’t deserve to die for unlawfully discharging a weapon. He didn’t deserve to die for being in possession of a handgun. He didn’t deserve to die because he was a black kid in a high-crime area. He didn’t deserve to die for running away when police ordered him to stop. He didn’t even deserve to die for having a gun in his hand and running away from the police. Police are trained to handle situations like this without killing someone.None of those offenses carry a death sentence in a court of law.

On the same day, in the same neighborhood, a 13 year old girl was shot and killed in a gang-related shooting. Also, Adam was not black.

As was pointed out by the police union official there, the decision to shot had 8/10 of one second to complete. The lad had a pistol in his hand as he turned, and bang! the shot could not be reversed. If a police officer doesn't shot under those circumstances, he is a fool, or dead, or both. And if you are not a hunter, you will not understand what I am saying.

28 people were shot in Chicago last weekend. Was Adam Toledo the shooter in ay of them? He could have been. Why is a 13 year old out at 2:00am with a gun? It was not to help old ladies across the street or do good deeds. Why wasn't he at home? His concerned crying parents apparently weren't too concerned at 2:00am on a weeknight while angelic little Adam was roaming the streets discharging a gun. Spare me the hysterical crying and theatrics about what a good boy he was who only did good and smiled. Adam Toledo's actions tell a different story. His parents allowing him to do it confirm the story. The armchair quarterbacking by people who have the luxury of seeing the incident in slow motion, frame by frame on video, from the safety of a chair can pick apart the police actions all they want. If they were in the same situation, and only had a split second to make the same decisions (in the dark while running after an unknown person with a gun), they would have done the same thing. Anyone who claims differently is lying.

The race hustlers will have us believe that the police were not chasing little innocent Adam Toledo because he was a perp carrying and discharging a pistol. Nope. They were hunting an innocent disabled black child for sport because that is what cops do! Ignore the other 28 people who were shot, nobody cares about them because they weren't shot by sadistic white cops. They were shot by people like Adam Toledo (but we aren't allowed to say that)!

I don't care about any of them. They are Lori Lightfoot's direct responsibility and she doesn't care. The idiots who vote her in time after time do not care, they have their lesbian black woman and that's all that matters. Every week, Chicago has fewer and fewer fatherless children to worry about.

Biden was also absent for the first part of it, leaving an awkward Kamala Harris to trash the U.S. for gun violence before turning to welcome Suga. When Biden took over, things went downhill. There was a prolonged ammunition shortage during the Obama administration. I got through that one because a Power Line reader lined me up with a dealer in West Virginia who seemed to have an endless supply of 9 mm. and .22LR rounds. As with most shortages, it has been accentuated by hoarding: whenever a shooter saw boxes of a popular caliber on the shelves, he would buy them all. For quite a while
